Morning came, but no sun shined in our room. Amber had grown to hate that in the mornings, so she added black curtains to our room when we moved here.

The room was cool, and her skin was warm. I was running my fingers through her hair for a few moments. After a while, she woke up and smiled at me.

"What are you doing up." She mumbled, moving under the covers some and stretching.

"I was thirsty, and I had some apple juice on my nightstand." I said.

"Can I have some?" She asked.

She sat up as I handed her my water bottle.

"How did you sleep?" She said after taking a sip.

"I slept well. It seems you did, too." I said.

"What does that mean." She giggled, laying down again.

"Well, you didn't cry once last night."

"Oh.." She said, looking down.

"Baby steps." I reassured her.

"I didn't mean to cry." She whispered.

"Of course you didn't, but it's ok that you did. You're human and coping with something." I explained.

"I think it's getting better, though." She sniffed.

"Yeah, it is." I said back. "So do you wanna tell me why you were drunk last night before bowling?"

She hid under the blankets slowly.

"Uh uh, you have explaining to do." I laughed, getting under with her.

She squealed and came up to roll over to her other side. I got on her back and went close to her ear.

"What did you drink?" I pressed curiously laying on her.

"A little... something..." She mumbled sneakily.

"What little something?" I said.

She was quiet.

"Don't make me tickle you." I said.

"Fine." She gave in. "A bit of vodka."

"A bit?" I asked.

"Well, I wasn't throwing up. Was I now?" She asked sarcastically.

"That's because you can hold liquor, so how much did you REALLY have?" I said.

"Some things... are better left unsaid." She responded and leaned into my chest.

"Mhm." I grouched.

"Don't be mad at meee." She poked her lip out.

"Fine." I said.

She planted what felt like infinite kisses all over my face before there was a knock at the door.

"Who is it?" Amber asked.

"Thing one and thing two." Anika replied.

Aka her and Mindy.

"Come in." I said.

"We weren't interrupting anything, were we?" Mindy said, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Mindy -" Amber groaned.

"No, let's join!" Anika laughed and hopped on the left side of the bed next to me.

Mindy hopped on the right next to Amber.

"You guys." Amber groaned into the pillow.

"I said we're joining. Let's get this party started." Anika joked.

"You're so gross kiki." Amber giggled.

" I'm spicy." Anika replied.

"I had fun bowling with you guys last night." Mindy said.

"Look at the losers on the left side of the bed." Amber said while stretching.

"Asshole." I whispered.

"Ouuu." Anika said.

"What did you say?" Amber sat up smirking.

"I didn't say anything." I said, looking down and messing my nails.

"I think you did." Amber said.

"I think she said asshole." Mindy smirked.

"Don't instigate." I grouched.

"I'm gonna whoop your ass." Amber said.

We started wrestling, which somehow turned into a group pillow fight. Sam walked in and saw everybody laying in different parts of the room.

"I leave the four of you alone for a bit, and look what happens." She folded her arms smiling.

"In my defense." I said, getting up. "Amber started it."

"Snitching." She called to me and threw a teddy bear at my head.

"If you all are done tearing down the fountain of the house, breakfast is downstairs." Sam said and closed our door.

"Why does Sam walk in on EVERYTHING?" Mindy giggled.

"It's literally always when we're doing the strangest shit." Amber laughed, picking up some of the mess.

We cleaned our room up and went downstairs to eat breakfast afterward.
