chaper 21 (vacation plans)

>Tara's POV<

We'd finished our last semester for the year, and summertime was finally here.

Me and the rest of the group and I were kicked back on the couch together, watching old cartoons.

"Don't tell me this is what our summer looks like." Mindy said, eating her popcorn.

"This isn't terrible." Anika said.

She was always looking on the bright side of things.

"We really need to SAVE money." Amber added.

"We all made a lot of money this school year, and Sam and Danny pretty much took care of living and housing expenses as we helped. Maybeee, a trip to Florida would be fun, right?" I suggested.

"Plane tickets. Lot of money." Amber said.

"Well, your parents pretty much give you everything you want, Amber. Maybe they'll pay for yours." I said.

"I'll bet 10 dollars they'll pay for Tara's, too." Chad said.

"And if they don't, I will, and you owe 10 dollars." Sam chimed in.

"I'll ask." Amber said, going to get her phone.

"My parents will definitely pay for mine." Liv said, picking up her phone and calling.

"Our mom is the nicest person on earth, so maybe her sweet little boy can ask her." Mindy looked over at Chad.

"Why do I have to ask?" He questioned.

"Because mom spoils you a little more than she spoils me." Mindy said.

"How about we both ask." Chad said, grabbing her hand and bringing her to the dining room.

"Hey Anika, my mom said she'll pay for yours too." Liv said.

"Oh, they don't have to -"

"Too late." Liv said, pulling her into a hug.

Amber then came downstairs, with a big smile.

"They're paying for yours, Taraaaa!" She sang.

"Andddd I keep my ten dollars!" Chad yelled.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Sam said.

"Well, what about places to stay?" I asked.

"Thanks, mom!" The twins said and ran back over.

"We can stay at a hotel near Disney world." Amber said.

"Yeahhh." Everyone agreed.

"Who really wants to go to Disney world, though?" Chad said.

"Honestly, a beach would be cheaper because anybody can be there. We could spend a couple of nights at a hotel then go camping." I said.

"Smart!" Amber replied.

"Finally another camping trip." Liv said.

"How often did you all go camping?" Anika asked.

"Since we were kids begging our parents." I replied.

"We should probably go shopping today and buy some new bathing suits." Mindy suggested.

Everyone piled into the car, and we made it to the store after a few minutes.

"What do you think?"

Amber came out in a cute black one-piece bathing suit doing her model walk.

"Is there a two-piece version." I smiled mischievously.

"Maybe I'll get both." she replied.

"No flirting in public." Mindy scolded playfully.

Amber sat in my lap, waiting for one of the other girls to come out.

"What about meeee?" Liv sang.

She came out in a red two-piece. You could see her fairy tattoo on her thigh.

"Chad's gonna like that one." Amber teased.

"Vomit! I'm VOMITING!" Mindy said, pretending to gag.

"So dramatic." Amber replied. "It's a keeper, buy it."

"10/10 keeper." I said, giving her a thumbs up.

The next one out was Anika.

Her bathing suit was pink with a frilly skirt attached.

"Lemme seeee." Mindy said, getting up.

"No flirting in public." Amber winked, getting up to try on her 2nd one.

I tried on all of mine already. I chose at least 4 even though we all had extras at home.

Amber came back out in a black two-piece with a see-through bathing suit cover-up skirt.

"Soooo?" She said dancing out.

"Looooooks hottttt." Mindy cheered.

"I'm a visual and physical analysis type of person." I raised my hand.

She danced over and turned. I could tell she wanted this one.

"Turn around again." I said.

"Why???" She swayed.

"So I can squeeze your butt cheek." I whispered.

"I HEARD THAT." Mindy said.

"Why are you listening?" I said.

"Hmmm." Mindy said doing the 'I'm watching you' motion.

Sam never tries anything on. She just looks for her size and buys it. Somehow, it's always perfect.

We all bought our new bathing suits plus some swimming and beach stuff and left the store.

We had spent at least an hour in there and were all hungry, so we stopped to get something to eat on the way home.

Just a few more things to do, some organizing and then Florida here we comeee :)
