>Tara's POV<
Break wasn't quite over yet, but we made our way home to enjoy the last bit of time we had.
Traveling was again scary for me, but I managed.
It felt good to be home ; I enjoyed the beach house, but I just really missed my bed, so I headed straight upstairs directly to it.
>Sam's POV<
"Hm, must be jet lag." I said.
"Long flight." Amber replied.
"Can we like...worry about unpacking tomorrow? I can't deal with this right now." Mindy complained.
"Guys." I said.
Truthfully, I really just wanted to get this over with. I understand their jet lag, but it's so much stuff.
"Please, Sam, we're begging." Liv said.
"Fine, but TOMORROW...this living room will not look like this." I said.
"Yesss ma'am." Mindy saluted and went upstairs with Anika.
I sat at the bar with my head on the counter. I was tired, too, honestly.
"I'm sure they'll do it tomorrow." Danny said.
"I'm not worried about that, I'm just having a moment."
"An episode?" Danny asked, worried.
"I don't feel crazy or anything. I'm just anxious and paranoid. I just want everything to be neat and in place. I can't put unrealistic expectations on them, though -"
"They love you. They're just tired. Tomorrow will come. This will be cleared out, and you're gonna go to your therapy session." He said, putting his hand on my shoulder.
I looked up at him with what probably looked like sheer exhaustion.
"It'll be ok, mi corazón. Cheer up, I'll make you dinner." He suggested.
"Thank you." I said in a low voice with a half smile.
>Mindy and Anika's room<
>Mindy's POV<
"You know what time it is?" Anika said, all cheery.
"Time for bed?" I suggested.
"YES! but..."
"But what?" I asked.
"Pajama fashion show?" She replied.
"I'm really tired, tho kiki. Could we do this another night?"
"Just four pajamas?" She pleaded.
"I'll be asleep by the third." I said.
"So three?" She smirked.
"Fiiiiiine." I said.
She squealed and went to go put on her first pair.
I laid back on the bed, trying not to pass out.
>Tara and Amber's room<
>Amber's POV<
"Already falling asleep?" I pinched her cheek lightly.
"I WAS." She complained.
"Oh, shut up." I said as I kissed her cheek.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"Putting this one bag away at least. Sam seemed a little annoyed at our laziness." I replied.
"You think she's ok?" Tara asked.
"I don't know." I answered honestly. "probably post vacation blues."
"Or maybe it's her mental health." Tara said.
I got under the covers finally and laid next to her. "Let Danny take care of her." I said.
"Yeah, but I'm her sister, and I just wanna know sometimes." Tara said.
"You remember when you told me Sam was being a hover mom, and you got mad?" I said.
"Yeah."
"Do you really wanna do that to her of all people?" I asked.
"It's different."
"Is it?" I asked.
She looked at me confused.
"You're a good sister Tara, but sometimes, she's not gonna tell you things right away. Give her time." I said.
"Okay." Tara mumbled.
"Are you mad at me?" I asked in a soft tone.
"No." She said, fiddling with her fingers.
"Good. Because angry girls don't get cuddles." I said.
"I'm not maddd." She whined.
I laughed and wrapped my arms around her.
"You ready for the best sleep of our lives?" I said.
"12 hours of unconscious paradise." She pulled her eye mask over her eyes.
I closed my eyes and drifted off.
