15. Yes

We park by the parking lot. The park isn't even filled with people. There are very much countable. That's odd, usually the place would be packed with people. Nowhere to sit or breathe. But I guess this park is no longer the in thing. Things did change while I was gone.

We pick a spot under a tree but still with visibility of the beautiful lake. I love this lake but it also brings back traumatic memories. When I fell in while boating with my dad and I nearly drowned. That was scary because that lake was deep. But more than less happy memories were made here. It brings me a smile.

"Sofia?" Teyana taps my shoulder.

"Oh, sorry. Just kind of spaced out." I chuckle.

"What's up?"

"Nothing, really. Just thought of all the happy memories I made here. It really bought smiles here. Almost all the best times of my life happened here."

"That's great. Just another to come." Teyana says sounding like she was talking more to herself.

"What?"

"You'll see."

We sit by the bench and enjoy the lunch. Listening to all the stories that happened while I wasn't there. Apparently Noah can play soccer now. Rihanna bought one of Teyana's dresses that she designed. That was big news, she was so happy to share it. She really does have a future with her design skills. Edwin got promoted to manager at his workplace.

This family has future ahead of them.

That's when I see it. I notice a boat in the middle of the lake with a man standing on it. He must be crazy, what if he falls off. There are people in a orchestra looking uniform playing some instruments. As the boat comes closer I hear a song playing. Fall in Love with You by Montell Fish.

"Adrian?"

I turn to see everyone looking quite amused.

"Sofia, I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to be in my troubles with you, I want to share my success with you. You have done nothing but love me even when I turned my back to you. You even waited for me. But now I'm back, back to be the man you want me to be. Your dreams, your life. I want to be with you. I want you to be my wife. Will you marry me?"

He's already off the board, in front of me and on one knee. I don't even hesitate.

"Yes!"

"She said yes!" He yells and people come out.

All the people I know and I love start to cheer and perk. I smile as I kiss Adrian a peck on the lips. I turn to Teya, she knew. Of course she did, she drove me out here to help Adrian propose to me. It all makes sense now.

"Sofia, hurry up! We need to get you ready! So does Adrian, where is Edwin! Edwin get Adrian ready while Wendy gets the crowd sit down."

"Why?"

"Girl, do you want to be late for your wedding!" Teya yells.

"Wedding? What about the dress and everything else?!" I panick.

"Don't worry, I got everything sorted. You just need to get in thta room, get your makeup and hair done. And be out of here in an hour! Wendy?!"

And with that she leaves me with a lady. Still in confusion.

"With this ring, I promise to share my happiness and sadness with you. My fortunes and misfortunes. My secrets and love." Adrian says slipping a ring onto my finger.

We smile at each other and I become teary.

"With all the power invested in me, I proclaim you Mr and Mrs. Ferri, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." The priest says.

With that Adrian smashes his lips onto mine. He picks me up briday style, walking off the carpet going to the sunset. I just got married in a park on the sunset. Life couldn't be any better.

I wrap my arms around Adrian's neck and his arm around my waist.

"How do you feel?" He whispers.

"Happy, excited, confused. I still can't believe I was engaged an hour ago!"

"I know. Teyana, Edwin and Wendy help me set everything up. I rented the park for all day to get this ready. I was doubting this at first but with that expression on your face. I did the right thing. The honeymoon is going to be perfect."

"Where is it?"

"Mauritius, we're going tonight. I know how much you loved that place in high school. But if you don't love it anymore, I can rebook the flights."

"I love you, Adrian."

"I love you more, Sofia. Don't ever forget that."
