Previously:
A real Hero soothes the hearts of the injured. Their smile should cause you to feel safe. Their touch may be calloused but reassuring to those who they save. They aren't perfect but willing to push past their flaws and become better. But this world is so blind with fame and money, that they have forgotten what a real Hero should act. I'm going to remind the world of this fact and rise to the top.

Jade stood there in front of the gigantic stone doors to the fake city. Where her exam was being taken place. She looked straight ahead and crossed out the faces of the other students. They aren't her priority. She has to stay focused.

I take a step forward with confidence washing over my body. I have to prove my worth today. The doors open just enough for me to slip through. I use my webs to slingshot myself through the air. I do the same to try robots that I did to those bikers. Their metallic bodies crumbled to the ground. I begin to lose track of time as I was entranced by feeling dominating the enemy. And the feeling of the wind blowing up against my skin, it felt relaxing. Was I born to kill? My quirks have the possibility of great destruction. If I didn't have my foster family, I might have gone down a very different path.

Jade landed gracefully on one of the many ledges of the fake city and looked out to see the people running down on the ground. "They look like ants." She felt pins and needles on her spine. She turned around quickly to see a giant robot terrorizing everyone.

I went to move but the flash of the future played out in my mind. A girl is hurt and if I cut up the robot, she'll be crushed? I have to rescue her without any chances of her getting gravely hurt. If I fail to protect the innocent, then I shouldn't become a pro hero.

Jade restricted the movements of the giant bot and landed in front of the hurt girl. She was trapped under a big piece of rubble. She crouched down and grew four more arms to lift the concrete bearing down on her leg. She used one for her free hands to shoot out webbing and yank her out in the most gentle way possible. The girl was unconscious. She gave her a piggyback ride and as she walked away from the robot. She grabbed an invisible strand of silk. It triggered a domino cause and effect, the robot was sliced apart into tiny shards of metal. Her arms went back into her body and she approached the recovery hero in silence. She set down the unconscious girl and then walked away without saying anything cocky or prideful.

Jade didn't require to be praised for her actions. She's becoming a hero to help others just for the sake of it. Not money. Not the violence. Not for fame. Just because the world needs selfless heroes to stick up for those in trouble.

Jade casually approached her brother leaning up against the archway of the school with a cheerful expression. He waved back her way. He had left over fragments from his amethyst crystal quirk on his clothes. It just appeared out of nowhere a few weeks ago. The doctor said that this is an occurrence that happens often. So Jade and Aizawa didn't think anything of it. As Shinso waved at his sister and smiled tiredly. Behind his mask resided a cocky smirk. "Let's go to the arcade and celebrate our hard work!" She clung to his arm and smiled cheerfully. He groaned as he yawned. "I just want to sleep." "Awww, come on! Please!" Her eyes pleaded with her big brother to say yes. He sighed softly and agreed. Her mouth released an excited giggle. All while behind her own mask resided a soulless expression. No emotion. Her heart is empty and feels nothing but void.

On their way to the arcade they came across two homeless kittens. It's like fate was shining down upon them today. Trying to make up for all the suffering they have to experience recently. They totally blew off the idea of going to the arcade and headed to a pet shop to buy cat food. They both wait for their dad to come home to tell him the name of the cats.

(Shuna - Light Pink fur with white splotches. Magenta gem cat eyes.)
(Cosmic - Lavender fur with golden specks. Violet purple mixed with gold cat eyes.)

Their father comes home looking beyond exhausted. He announced he was home and he saw a bag of cat food by the fridge. His eyebrows raised slightly at the sight of cats sleeping on the couch soundly next to his two kids. They stayed up all night for him but fell asleep waiting.

As he stood there stared at their peaceful expressions. He got a call from a secondary phone. He headed upstairs and took the call. He hung up on the person and walked out of the house in a fancy suit. Looking like a brand new person. His height was different and something about his quirks was different too. His life at night was completely different to his day appearance and persona. He was a Yakuza Boss called Snake Eyes.

Black dress shirt unbuttoned collar and folded down, gold bulletproof dress vest with black rose design, matching black pants with gold pinstripes. Long black overcoat with double breasted buttons and deep pockets. He has his dual pistols holstered in his coat. Nice dress shoes with gold painted iron soles and steel toes. A black & gold devil face mask with a gas filter. Black glove for his right hand with a gold rose on the back of the palm, it has gold spikes on the knuckles. Shoulder length black armored gauntlet for his right arm with navy blue spikes on the elbows, shoulder, and knuckles. The index and middle finger are the only ones covered.

He was picked up by one of the men under his command. They drove him around the city until he decided where to eat and meet his war council. He ended up picking a Korean BBQ place. He bought the place outright and demanded for a feast to be made for him. He was a glutton for food and everything he desired. His hunger was bottomless. The hero and positive father figure was just a facade. Underneath he's a monster with hidden desires to cause pain and chaos. He does care about his two kids but in a more borderline obsessive and toxic way. They belong to him. He has a twisted idealistic way of looking at things.

Snake Eyes propped his feet up and gulped down booze without any signs of hesitation. His elite subordinates showed up in their japanese folklore masks. "Welcome, let's get down to business. I have something to discuss with you all. Regarding my son and daughter." He threw the empty bottle at the wall in rage. They all tensed as soon as they sat down. They were in for a long night.

Jade woke up all alone. Her brother was no longer beside her on the couch. He didn't even leave behind a letter. Her father had come home but he wasn't there so he must have headed out again. She put on her track outfit and headed out the door for a late night jog.
