Previously: Aizawa smelled the scent of smoke on her breath. "What did that damn brat do to my precious little princess? Did he supply her with cigarettes to smoke? l I swear if he corrupted my darling daughter, I'll break his legs." Behind his mask he was grimacing. Jade gestured for her father to come closer in ear shot. He bent his legs and leaned in close. "He sneaked out last night and so I followed him discreetly. But when I caught up with him." She began to tremble and fell silent. He felt her shaky hand grab his arm. He leaned back only to see her crying with fear in her eyes. A low growl from a beast locked up in a cage. It was in the dark part of his soul. It began to snarl louder and louder at the sight of her suffering. "What did he do to make you so scared, honey?" His hands hovered in the air as he tried his best to hold back himself. His voice was laced with poison. She looked up at him.

Her heart was steady and the tears were fake. Her acting was on par of professional actors in Hollywood. Oh wait. That's right. She's not a normal teenager. She was once a professional actress on Broadway. But died in a very violent mugging in the streets of New York City. And the original host of this body died the night her parents did. And so this actress's apathetic and tired of living soul was placed into this innocent and cheerful child. She created an entire different persona for this new reality. It now feels like her new life is one big stage performance. It's a pain and not fun at all. She just wants to smoke cigarettes and do nothing. Instead of becoming something important as being a hero. She actually hates helping others unless it benefits her in the long run. She's playing a reckless and selfless character who desires to help those around them with a smile on her face. How disgusting and unrealistic, right? This world and every world is supported by money. Nothing in this world has yet caught her genuine interest. In a world of superheroes and corruption. You would think that at least one thing would be considered interesting to her. Well she's not very childish and despises the idea of heroes. She enjoys more sinful and violent things. She would rather become a villain than a hero. But she has a part and character to play. She's in too deep and it would be a shame to draw the curtains now.

Jade looked up into her father's endless black eyes with her equally endlessly black eyes. The sound of the silence was painful. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "I'm scared of dad. What I saw turned my stomach inside out. I don't want our family to be torn apart." He grabbed her shoulders to try and stabilize his daughter. "What did you see, I can't comfort you if I don't know…" "He killed someone. He was roaming with two kids that are wanted by the law. I looked them up on the internet. I lied to him this morning and told him I was going to the arcade. But I came here straight away. I'm scared. Dad. Please tell me it's going to be okay." She felt weak in the knees and fell forward as despair swallowed up her heart. She was selling her nervousness and frightened act perfectly. He pulled her close into his warm grasps. He rubbed her back as he hummed comfortingly. "That's why she looked so dead inside. Her heart is being corrupted by his dark actions. I knew he was acting strange lately. That little piece of shit has terrorized my darling flower's mind. What else has he done? There's clearly something she's not telling me." He was on the clock. But he needed to find out what else she knew. "Is there anything else you have to tell me? I promise everything is going to be alright. You are safe with me." She clung to his hero costume. She smirked smugly as she went for the last part of this great performance. "Heh, you really are perceptive, dad. He's not just a killer but is planning to kill me. Not at home but at school. I overheard him talking about being a spy for a group of villains." Her grip became non-existent as she fell to her hand and knees hyperventilating. "I don't want to die. Please, don't let me die. I'm scared. Dad? Please tell me you won't allow him to kill me?" His inner beast was biting and clawing its way out of the cage. He stammered and tripped over his words as his mask began to be filled with cracks. "He is planning to take her away from me? My precious little flower?" "Daddy?" He dropped down to his left knee and reached out to pat her head. "I have to protect her from all harm. She's not just some adoptive kid I took in like that brat. But my true heir and daughter." His mask was starting to crumble as he tried to give a gentle smile. "I'm losing sense of control over my rage. I want to strangle that brat for daring to even speak badly about Jade." He began to imagine doing unsavory things to Shinso in their basement. He grinned widely openly. "Dad?" He snapped out of his twisted daydream and realized that she was seeing his true expression. His mask was now gone and his eyes were glowing bright gold. She was looking at him curiously and not fearfully? He stood up and held out his hand. "I'm sorry if I frightened you. I need to go back to work but how about you come inside with me?" "Dad, your quirk is just so cool!" "She's not scared of me? That's good, I thought I fucked up." She grabbed his rough and calloused hands. He was a hard worker. "I get to see the inside of my dream school? Are you sure I won't get you in trouble?" He smiled amused by her words,"You really are too cute to handle sometimes. I'll inform Nezu that you need me. And I'm not doing much but some end of the year paperwork. You know just boring adult stuff." "Dad, as long as I'm by your side. Nothing will be considered boring. You are the light of my life and my life hero." She smiled through the pain and anguish. He felt the beast within subside and his bleeding heart got sewn up by her threads of love. He picked her up and his smile of genuine love and excitement. It did something to Jade's Apathetic and empty heart. Something about this smile from him felt more real and genuine than anything she's ever seen in her entire life as Jade. She felt a genuine smile creep up on her face. They both looked into the eyes of each other and peered into the inky blackness of their souls. Their hearts synced up in that very moment. "I want to stay by his side and desire his dark side." "I want to protect her from the cruel world but I also want to show her off."

He set her down and grabbed her hand gently. "Let's head inside now, cutie." She was led towards the front door. Just as they reached the door he let go of her hand and went back to his tired hero persona. They walked down a long hallway and then went up a flight of stairs to the second floor. All while Jade was following her father she was admiring every little thing she saw. But deep down she was craving a smoke. Maybe she can slip away and go to the roof.

Just as she went to make some distance. She spotted a friend of her dad. She scoffed annoyed and lit up with excitement. "Auntie, Midnight!" She leaped into the arms of her self proclaimed auntie. She took a step or two back a little surprised. "Jade? Why are you here?" She glanced over at Aizawa and smirked. "I didn't know it was bringing your kid to work, Eraser?" He groaned softly in annoyance. "My daughter needed me. I'm not ashamed to say that I care about her mental health and wellness. She's not my student yet. So I can play favorites all I want." He yanked his daughter into a protective embrace from behind. He had his arms around her small framed body. She was an innocent little bunny rabbit being protected by a scruffy lone wolf. He was all gloomy and serious. Meanwhile Jade was cheerful and childish.

Jade was beaming with excitement,"Dad, there's no need to be so protective. Auntie isn't going to harm me. And if you want my attention. You'll have it tonight at the movies. And even before that, we have to eat dinner before the movie. Right?" He released her almost instantly. "You have a good point. I'll be in Class 1-A doing my paperwork. How about you go and explore the grounds? If you need me, then call me or come to the classroom. Alright, honey?" He was openly acting warm and cuddly in front of his coworker. His daughter was more important than his edgy image to the public. He doesn't care about anything more than Jade. She turned around and gave him a reassuring smile. "I was trained by the best. But if I need help, you'll be the first to know." He nodded his head and ruffled her already messy raven black hair. "The best, huh? You honor me. Alright run along now." She headed towards the stairs to "explore" around the grounds. "You really are cute when it comes to your daughter." He glared daggers at her like a wild animal. "Watch it, Midnight. If you dare and try to charm my daughter or steal her lifeforce. I'll fucking kill you." She laughed at his threats. "Wow, is she really that important to you? I thought she was just another plaything like that other brat?" His eyes flickered between black to gold. "She's not just some brat or orphan. She's my real biological daughter, and if you dare to even speak to her with your Charm quirk activated. I'll break your pretty next without any remorse." Her body halted in place. She trembled slightly at the feeling of his telekinesis quirk gripping onto her heart from deep within her chest. "Or maybe I'll crush your heart from the inside, right now." She backpedaled fast. "Lord Kalvaxus. I'm sorry for taking my games too far. I promise not to mess with your spawn again." He released his hold on her entire body and heart. "You are damn right. Now get out of my sight before I change my mind, and kill you." She nodded her head and rushed towards the stairs to get away as fast as possible. Midnight went down stairs quickly. Jade was leaning up against the wall of the stairs leading up. She used her insect enhanced hearing and sight to see and hear that entire chilling conversation. "My dad is a lord? His strange name sounded like a kind of name a demon would have. Is my dad secretly a demon? Did he just say that I'm his biological kid and not just an adopted orphan like a big bro? So that's why we look so similar and why he loves me more than Shin. The plot thickens, oooh I can't wait for the next surprise." Her body shook violently. Her real self beneath was injected with an addictive feeling of excitement. As her veins burned with desire to learn everything about her father's secret alter ego. She'll do anything to discover everything about her father.
