After Becky's brother left, Becky and I chatted on the way to school and ran into my friends.
"Hi Freeny~ Hi Nhong Bec~" Nam greeted, and all my friends waved at us.
"Why are you two together~?" Nam asked with a sly smile.
"Well... I slept over at Becky's house yesterday, so-"
"What!? Sleepover!?" my friends exclaimed in panic.
"Isn't it normal to sleep over at a friend's or senior's place?" Becky asked.
"Nhong Bec, listen to me" Nam said seriously, touching her shoulders.
"Freen has never ever slept over at anyone's place"
"Nor has she been invited to hers" Kade added.
"I-It's just that I was cut by a knife, so Nhong Bec invited me to her place and bandaged my wound" I explained, blushing.
"But why is the wound on your arm and so bad?" Tee questioned.
"Actually, P'Freen saved me from being stabbed by a stranger, so she was the one who got injured" Becky said, looking down.
"Hey, it was my own choice to save you, and I don't feel much pain now, see?" I said, shaking my arm.
"Wait, you guys almost got stabbed!?" Nam exclaimed.
"What actually happened yesterday!?" Kade asked.
I proceeded to explain what happened yesterday to my friends until it was time to go to class.
"Haah be sure to be careful next time" Tee said, worried.
"After school's over just head home ok??" said Kade.
"Don't stay latee" said Nam.
"Ok ok~ thanks for worrying us. Class is starting, let's go" I said.
"See you later, Nhong Bec~" my friends said, preparing to leave.
"See you, Nhong Bec" I said, smiling and turning away.
"P'Freen!" Becky suddenly called out, tugging my shirt.
"Aww~" Nam said, snapping a photo of us, earning a cold stare from me.
"I know, I know, we're goingg" Nam said, dragging Tee and Kade away.
"FreenBec forever~~" Kade exclaimed, walking away.
"So... what is it, Nhong Bec?" I asked her.
"Oh! Um... you won the basketball match, so I was hoping we could celebrate together" Becky said, flustered.
I chuckled and replied, "Sure, let's meet at the front gate"
"Promise~?" she said with a cute pleading tone, raising her pinky.
"Pfft, promise" I said, intertwining my pinky with hers.
After making our promise, I tried to finish all my schoolwork and organize the student documents to free up my time in the evening.
As I was packing my stuff, getting ready to go out, my mom called me.
"Hi, Mom" I said, answering the call.
"Hi, sweetie~" my mom replied.
"Is there something?" I asked her.
"Oh, I just wanted to tell you to come home early today~" she said.
"Well, actually..."
"Do you remember Kirk?"
"Yes"
"He's waiting for you at the front gate. I invited him for dinner. Don't be late~~" she said, ending the call.
I rushed to the front gate and saw Kirk and Becky waiting for me.
"P'Freen!" "Freen!" Kirk and Becky said simultaneously, waving at me and then glancing at each other.
"Kirk, come here" I said, pulling him away from Becky.
"What is it, Freen? And who's that girl?" he asked.
"Why are you here? I thought you were studying abroad" I said.
"Hah... cold as always. Well, I've already graduated from high school there, so I came here to prepare for the same college as you" he replied, smiling.
"Kirk, I'm sorry that I can't celebrate your arrival today. I have an appointment"
"Your mom is sick right? I'm sure she will be happy and feel better seeing us together" he said, holding my hand.
I pulled my hand back and said "Just, give me a moment. I'll be back" walking to Becky.
"Nhong Bec, I'm sorry" I said, rubbing my neck.
"It's important right?" she asked.
"Y-yea..." I replied, sadly.
"Then goo~" she said, pushing my back.
"But-"
"It's okayy~~" she said with her usual bright smile.
After having a chat with Becky, I and Kirk went to my house, celebrating his arrival with my mom.
Time flies by, when it hits morning again. Now I'm reading a book quietly in my classroom seat when Tee and Kade suddenly rushed to me.
"Hey Freen, what's this?" Tee asked me, showing a post from her phone.
"Why is Nita with Becky yesterday?? I thought you two were going for a date or something" Nam said, panicked.
"How did you know it's Nita with Becky? This is only a photo of Becky with an ice cream" I asked.
"You stupid bookworm! This is posted on Nita's instagram and look at the caption!"
"NB at the ice cream shop. NB obviously means NitaBec for sure!" Nam exclaimed as I stood up preparing to leave.
"Where are you going Freen?" Tee asked.
"I'm going to her" I said, walking out.
As I was walking around finding Becky, I accidentally bumped a girl in front of me.
"Aah, sorry" I apologized, bowing at her.
"Eh? P'Freen?"
"Becbec?"
"Pfft, hi~" she said waving at me as I instantly hugged her.
