Becky's POV:

Back to the present.

"Please don't run away. I understand what you've been through" she said, her words piercing through me, leaving me speechless as tears welled up in my eyes.

"I..." I began to respond, but my words faltered. Suddenly, P'Freen enveloped me in a tight embrace, her warmth and genuine concern washing away the sorrow that had consumed me.

"I won't ask for more, but... I want you to know that I'll always be here" she whispered. In that moment, all the sadness and confusion seemed to fade into the background.

"I meant it in a sisterly way, don't worry" her words makes me feel irritated.

"O-Oh Thank you" I replied shortly.

"I'll be heading home. You should too" she said, her voice tinged with nervousness.

"See you tomorrow, P'Freen" I said, giving her a wave before turning to walk away.

"P'Freen? Aren't you leaving?"

"I'll...walk you home" she offered, preparing herself for the journey.

"It's okayy, Your place is quite far from mine. I'm feeling much better now" I reassured her.

"Then, here. What's your Line ID?" she asked, extending her phone towards me.

"Yes?"

"So you can message me once you're home" she explained.

"Oh, yeah, sure" I said, typing my Line ID and handing her phone back.

"Pfft, Becca?" she chuckled, playfully teasing me.

"Don't bully my namee. It's undeniably charming" I retorted.

"Hmm? I think so, both the name and the person" she replied, causing my cheeks to flush with a hint of shyness. Just then, a notification interrupted the moment.

"W-Who is it?" she asked, looking away in slight embarrassment. The tension between us was palpable.

"Oh, it's Irin. She messaged me to wait for her so we could walk back together" I explained.

"Great. Then... I'll be on my way" P'Freen said, preparing to leave.

"Goodbye" we spoke simultaneously.

"Haha, See you, Nhong Bec" she waved at me with a soft smile before finally parting ways.

As she walked away, I sensed someone approaching me. I quickly turned, wrapping my arms around the neck.

"H-Hey! It's me, it's me! Cough cough!" Irin exclaimed as I free her.

"Hey! What were you thinking? You could've gotten hurt!" I scolded her.

"Anywayys, has everything been going smoothly?" she asked, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"U'know what I mean~ Did you two~?"

"We're...sisters"

"What!? Why? I thought you had moved on from him already" she exclaimed, surprised by my response.

"I didn't have any romantic feelings for him. We're simply friends now" I replied.

"Then why did you turn her down? You seemed happier around her, even more than with Nop" Irin pressed, trying to make sense of my actions.

"I do love her but... I don't want history to repeat itself. I don't want either of us to face the dilemma of choosing between our future or our relationship again" I explained.

"Becky..."

"Now you understand me right?"

"Nooo!" a familiar voice chimed in.

"P'Nam!? What are you doing hiding in the bushes?" I questioned by her sudden appearance.

"Pay no attention to me, Nhong Bec Listen" she said, placing her hands on my shoulders.

"Don't be afraid of what lies ahead. Love is something you can't control. Just let your heart guide you" she advised, posing dramatically.

"Pfft! Sorry!" Irin couldn't help but chuckle at P'Nam's theatrics.

"Ahem! In other words, all relationships may end naturally or through death, but what remains are memories, whether they be joyous, sorrowful, or nostalgic. This is the essence of life—embracing and experiencing all that it offers" P'Nam's words left me pondering for a moment before an idea began to take shape in my mind.

"Thank you, P'Nam!"

"Have you made a decision?" P'Nam asked, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

"Yes" I replied resolutely, a newfound sense of purpose coursing through me as P'Nam beamed with satisfaction.

"Time is ticking. Hurry, catch her before she boards the bus!"

"Yes, but..." I pleaded with Irin.

"Alright, alright! Don't give me that look. Go, get your girl!" she conceded.

"Thanks. I'm off. Goodbye!" I said, turning to leave.

"Wait!" P'Nam called out, stopping me in my tracks.

"Freen won't be able to resist your cuteness, so don't forget to use them!"

"Pfft, ok! Bye, P'Nam" I said, waving to both of them as I headed out.

"Go, go, go~!" P'Nam's voice echoed from behind.

I hurriedly made my way, reaching the bus station just in time.

"P'Freen!" I called out, hoping she would hear me. As I approached, the bus began to pull away. But I refused to give up.

"P'Freen!" I shouted, running after the bus. Luckily, some of the passengers noticed me and told the driver. With their assistance, I managed to catch up and board the bus.

"P'Freen!" I called out again.

"Nhong Bec!?"
