Chapter 10 - A Confession

She hugged me back softly and gently asked "P'Freen, what happened?"

I let go of her and nervously said, "It's just...I want to talk to you"

"Sure, let's find a better place"

As she said that, she led me to an empty room nearby.

"So um...what is P'Freen?" she asked.

"Don't you think it's hot today? Don't forget to put on sunscreen" I said, trying to keep my composure.

"Pfft, sure~?" she said, confused, and chuckled at me.

"No it's not that" I said, contemplating whether I should ask her if she went with Nita last night.

"P'Freen" she called me.

"If there's anything, feel free to ask" she said with a bright smile.

I calmed down after seeing her smile and said "Did you...go out with Nita last night?"

"Ohh yeah, I coincidentally met her on my way home, so we went for an ice cream nearby" she replied.

I thought to myself "Nita...maybe it's not a coincidence"

"Is there anything else?" Becky asked.

I mustered up all my courage and said "I like you"

"P-P'Freen are you serious...?" she said, shocked.

"I'm serious. I've just discovered that my feelings for you are not just a feeling for a sister, but as a lover. I thought I could wait, but after I saw the picture of you and Nita together, I realized that I don't want to lose you" I explained as she looked at me, speechless.

"Being with you makes me feel comfortable. My heart keeps pounding every time I see you. I may not be good at expressing love, but I'm sure that I love you" I said, causing tears to fall from her eyes.

"Becbec! I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable. Even if we're not lovers, we can still be sisters" I explained.

Becky then ran out of room, and as I was about to follow, the bell rang, so I returned back to my class.

During lunch break, my friends rushed to me.

"Hey Freeny~ did you reconcile with Nhong Bec~?" Nam asked, making me stop walking.

"Ehh? Didn't it go well?" said Tee.

"I...confessed my feelings to her but-" I didn't get to finish my sentence.

"You what!?" they exclaimed.

"Hey, don't shout. Everyone's looking-" My sentence was interrupted as my eyes met Becky's.

She looked down, saying something to Irin, and rushed to walk away.

"Did she reject you?" said Nam.

"I don't know, she just...ran away" I sadly said.

"But I can tell that Nhong Bec also likes you. Then why..." said Nam.

"Hey, if you want to know why don't you ask her friend?" said Tee, looking at Nhong Irin.

"It's kind of a personal thing, and I think Nhong Irin won't tell us" said Kade.

"Yeah...we're not that close to ask her" said Nam.

"Why not? she's my girlfriend" said Tee, leading us to Irin.

"What!?" Nam and Kade simutaneously exclaimed as I told them to calm down.

"Since when did you guys hang out?" Kade asked Tee.

"Since today?" Tee replied.

"What!? when??" said Kade.

"Hey guys, focus!! Don't forget what we're for" said Nam.

"Tee! you got to explain to us later got it?" said Kade.

After they argued, I explained to Irin about everything since the beginning.

"Oh! so that's why!" Irin exclaimed.

"So why is Nhong Bec avoiding Freen?" Tee asked Irin.

"Didn't Nhong Bec feel the same as Freen?" said Nam.

"Aah...It's a long story" said Irin.

"Tell us!! we have time for you all day!" said Nam and Kade.

"Please, I truly like her and I don't want us to be like this" I said, persuading Irin.

"Oh my god, since when you became this frankly" said Nam.

"Since I confessed to Nhong Bec" I replied.

"Oh, aha...sorry. Nhong Irin please continue"

"Well...it actually starts from her Ex-boyfriend" said Irin.

"What!?!" we exclaimed.

"Today I've been shocking many times noww" said Nam.

Irin then tells us about Becky's ex and her story before coming to this school.

After school's over , I waited for Becky at the school's front door and met her.

"Nhong Bec, wait!" I exclaimed, making her stop running.

"Please don't run away, I know what has happened to you..."

"I..." as her eyes watered.
