I'm too scared to fall asleep,
Too scared to experience that same creep.
Scared to wake up and find you're not here,
Too scared to feel this pain again.I'm too scared to be in a dark room,
Too scared that I might not feel your embrace once more.
Scared to switch the lights on and find out you're not there anymore,
Too scared to experience those same mistakes once more.I'm too scared to face the mirror,
And can't recognize my bare face once again.
Too scared to see that gloomy person again,
Too scared to be in that situation again.I'm too scared to face the wall when I'm sleeping,
Too scared that you might leave me all of a sudden.
Too scared to wake up one morning and find nothing,
Scared of being alone again.I'm too scared to face the unknown,
Too scared of being left on my own.
Scared to let go and move on from the pain,
Too scared to hope and love again.I'm too scared to let darkness consume,
Too scared to believe in a brighter bloom.
Scared to find myself and heal from within,
Too scared to start anew and begin.I'm too scared to trust and take a leap,
Too scared of wounds that run too deep.
Scared to mend the pieces of my heart,
Too scared to find a brand new start. But deep within this fear, I'll find my way,
To embrace the light and seize the day.
For in the midst of fear, strength will grow,
And I'll overcome, letting my spirit glow.
