As soon as the ship had landed, Obi-wan gestured for Y/n to follow him, her brother, and his master.
"So what exactly is going on?" Before Obi-Wan could speak up, Qui-gon butted in, "You ask far too many questions, young one."
"How else am I meant to adapt?" She crossed her arms defensively whilst sending a glare to the back of Qui-Gons head, her gaze resting on his man bun as they all made their way to the Jedi council wanting to talk about her and her younger brother Anakin.
Obi-Wan shot Y/n an apologetic look as Qui-Gon dismissed her questions. He understood her curiosity, especially considering the unusual circumstances they were in. As they walked through the halls of the Jedi Temple, he decided to address her concerns.
"Y/n, I apologize for Qui-Gon's brusque response," Obi-Wan said, his voice gentle. Y/n smiled politely, thanking him for being so patient and polite as she adjusted to all of this new information.
As they reached the entrance to the Jedi Council chamber, Qui-Gon turned to Y/n and her brother, Anakin. "Wait here for a moment. I'll speak to the Council first and then introduce you."
Y/n nodded, becoming increasingly nervous, but also excited about what the future might hold for her and her brother.
She stood with her brother, and Obi-Wan, too nervous to speak up running through thousands of possibilities and scenarios. After a brief moment, Qui-Gon returned, gesturing for them to follow him into the chamber.
The Jedi Council, all seated in a semi-circle consisting of several wise-looking individuals, Yoda, a small and ancient-looking Jedi Master, spoke first. "Mmm, Qui-Gon Jinn. Who are these two you have brought before us?"
Qui-Gon stepped forward and clarified, "This is Y/n and her younger brother Anakin. I encountered them on Tatooine, and they are both strong in the Force. I believe Y/n has great potential to become a Jedi as well as her brother."
Y/n felt a mix of anxiety and excitement as the Council members studied her intently. "The child is too old, let alone the girl." The powerful master Windu spoke, catching Yoda's and Obi-Wan's attention.
"Discuss one at a time, we will. First, the girl." Yoda spoke taking a deep breath before continuing, the council spoke trying to weigh their options but no matter what anyone said Mace Windu, remained sceptical and asked, " What makes you believe she is fit to become a Jedi? We usually begin training Jedi at a much younger age to ensure proper discipline and control over their abilities."
Qui-Gon replied, "I understand the tradition, Master Windu, but I have seen her potential. Y/n is strong-willed and has a high midichlorian count unlike I have ever seen. With the right training, she could become a powerful ally for the Jedi Order."
Y/n stood straight and met the Council's gaze with determination. "I know I might be older than most Jedi initiates, but I want to learn how to use my abilities to help others and make a difference in the galaxy if the option presents itself."
Yoda observed her carefully and then turned to Qui-Gon, "A difficult decision, this is. The risk is great, but there is great potential we see in her as well."
Obi-Wan stepped forward, speaking in support of Y/n, "Master Yoda, Master Windu, I have witnessed her actions firsthand. Y/n saved my life on Tatooine, displaying to me firsthand abilities of natural force control, and I have no doubt that she can be trained to be a Jedi."
She turned her head in shock. She was almost certain that lying to the council would have dire consequences. She remembered when she accidentally threw him across her hometown but was quickly pulled back into the conversation at hand.
