Chapter 41

"I...I..." I looked up normally "I can't tell you" and with that I broke down into tears falling to the ground. Eleanor sat beside me hugging me into her.

This is what everyone wants to do on their birthday sit on the floor of the girls toilets crying your eyes out.

"I .. Will .. T tell you ... L later" I chocked "withhhh... ev ...everyone"

"Okay darl" she said stroking my hair I stood up fixed my hair and controlled my breathing so I would stop crying. I looked horrible my eye make up had ran my cheeks were puffy and red. I looked horrible there was also hair stuck to my cheeks because of the wetness. Ew ew ew ew. I wiped my eyes with a bit of hand towel. Removing the panda eye look

"I will be back" El said leaving the bathroom. I nodded and continued to make myself look better.

El walked back in like 3 minutes later with her bag. "Here let me fix you" she said I turned facing her so she could redo my make up. I was a tiny bit embarrassed as people walked in on us a few times. Luckily no one did while i was actually crying! Thank god Eleanor and I are the same skin colour!

After I was all good we walked back out and sat at the table like nothin happened. I was still feeling emotional but I think I cried enough today I mean I never cry and I cried on my birthday! Niall put his hand on my knee under the table I put my hand over the top slinging my fingers in between his to entwine our fingers together.

Everyone got up paid then headed toward our house.

We sat in the lounge room at our house. Most people were having a drink but i laid off. Ivan was asleep in Aaron's cot as Aaron slept in his bassinet. We don't really use it anymore partly coz he sleeps in his cot and growing out if it but today we had to.

So far I had gotten jewellery off practically everyone which was a bonus because I love it and perfume and other stuff

Eleanor walked up to me handing out a gold envelope"okay Em this is from myself, Perrie and Danielle" she said then handed the sealed envelope over to me.

"Not another present" I said

Danielle "just open it already" she laughed

I ripped open the envelope and pulled out a holiday card to Bora Bora out

"Oh my god!" I whisper said putting a hand over my mouth I stood up and kissed each one if the girls

Perrie"we hoped you would like it"

"What is it?" Niall asked I handed him the envelope. Maura looked over his shoulder. I'm assuming Zayn, Louis and Liam knew about it as they had smiles on their faces

"What's wrong?" Danielle asked I looked up from my hands

Me"I can't go"

"Whaaa? What do you mean you can't go?" Perrie said in laugh shock type of voice

Niall"there's no reason why you can't go"

"Well yeah there actually is" I said blankly everyone turned to me "guys there's something I really need to tell you" I looked up "I havnt been well lately and I.. I" my chin started to tremble again. I bit down hard on my bottom lip "I've been diagnosed with colon cancer" a tear then rolled down my face. Everyone sat up straight. Niall's look was priceless his eyes were starting to water along with all the other girls. I walked over to Niall pulling him in for a big hug.

"I'm sorry" I whispered he pulled away looking down at me still havin his arms wrapped around me I wiped both of his tear streamed cheeks with my thumbs

"What are you apologising for?" He asked with heaps of sadness in his voice

"I don't know" I replied looking up to him he leant down and kissed me. I looked around to everyone the girls were all in tears with guys comforting him. I noticed Maura standing there trying to keep it in I went over and hugged "everything will be alright" I whispered then she started to cry

Niall"so what's... going ...to happen?"he said between breaths holding himsel together Harry stood up wrapping an arm around his as Maura grabbed his hand rubbing it with her other in a soothing way. He was completely ignoring them though keeping his eyes glued to me.

Harry"when did you get diagnosed?"

Me"last week. I'm getting CT scans and MRI's done in a couple of days just to make sure the cancer hasn't spread, its currently in my inner .. My inner colon" I said the last bit tearing up again Danielle stood up crashing into me with a hug.

Niall"Why couldn't it be me?!" He spoke frustratedly

"Niall" I said disappointed but still said with my chin trembling.

Niall"no Em! It's not fair your the youngest out of all of us" his cheeks and eyes were very red

Me"things happen for a reason Niall" I assured him

Harry"mate calm down" he whispered

Niall"NO!" He yelled then broke down in tears. I knew Niall wouldn't take the news very well. Harry pulled him in for a hug. As Danielle hugged me tighter as I was in tears too. Perrie and Eleanor were talking to Maura reassuring her that everything would be fine. That's all you could really say. There was a cry and I knew it wasn't Aaron's Louis and Eleanor both left the room going to get Ivan.

I explained to everyone how they diagnosed/ knew I had colon cancer which was because I kept getting a lot of pains in my lower stomach with tenderness I thought it was just excruciating period pains I also was getting diarrhoea along with blood and weight loss. This is why the girls noticed I had lost weight.

Colon cancer is when there is cancer in the large intestine which is what they call the 'colon' luckily I'm at stage 0 so It's only in the most inner layer and I will just get surgery to remove the cells then hopefully everything will be alright.

Everyone had taken the fact that I was sick pretty well. We let the sadness pass us started to be our usual selves again. Niall wasn't leaving my side, constantly keeping an eye on me. He's going into the mode he was in when I was pregnant! -------------------------------------------------------

the last bit is just an explanation of what colon cancer is :) hehe

I HATE CANCER!!!!

cancer needs to get cancer and die!!!!
