Chapter Thirty-Two: Sectionals nerves

Blake's POV

I text Kurt as I make my way on to the bus, I look up briefly to see Rachel walking in front of Finn with her head down

I sigh as I see Finn grab her hand causing her to hold on to it hesitantly, I get in the bus and before I can even walk to sit near Rachel, Santana and Quinn grab me and pull me into the seat with them causing me to sit in the middle

"So Blake......how have you been" Quinn asks and I smile a bit at her

"Great uh.....funeral planning has been difficult but uh.....I think I'll be fine" I say and Quinn grabs my hand and intertwines our fingers causing me to sigh sadly, I did really like Quinn but can't just use her to get over Rachel

"You want us to go to the funeral to support you" Santana asks as she plays with a loose curl in my hair

"I think I'll be fine" I say and they nod before starting to talk about cheerleading stuff, I glance over to Rachel as she and Finn talk a seat off to the side but close by

I sigh and lay my head against the seat tiredly before closing my eyes and deciding to try and get some sleep and vocal rest

I walk up with Kurt as Rachel is ranting about Lauren's raisinets which I think are fucking disgusting

"Hey Barbra....got them before we left....also I got you some mint gum and your emergency tea" I yell out to Rachel as we walk closer to her, I hold the gum and Lipton up and Rachel sighs in relief before hugging me and taking her snack

"Thank you....I have never been so nervous....I think my nervous system is going hay wire due to a lack of solos and Lauren begging for her snack isn't helping" She says and I laugh a little and she started devouring her snack

"Hey....uh did you get your solo" Rachel asks as she looks from me to Kurt

"Sadly no" Kurt says and I rub his back in comfort

"Wow...if you didn't get a solo then they must me really good....god we are toast" Rachel says and I put my hand in my chest offended

"Hey!....Mercedes and I will do great....thought you believed in us" I say before pouting and Rachel sighs

"You guys will do great I just.....I'm scared especially since last year we did great but how will it go this year" Rachel says awkwardly and I look down briefly as run my hands through my hair

"Well Mercedes and Blake got this.....I can't believe Mr.Shue actually let Mercedes' sing finally" Kurt says and I nod

"I'm happy he did.....hope he let's everyone sing this time" I say proudly, I plan on making that happen more often

"I agree" Rachel says catching both Kurt and i by surprise

"Ok what happened when I left" Kurt asks causing me to chuckle a bit

"Rachel is being fair" I say with a smile that Rachel returns it

"Well I'm sorry you didn't get your solo...that really sucks but I'm sure you were good" Rachel says and I smile and nod

"Yea...I know you crushed it" I say and Kurt nods insecurely

"I was, I mean, I think I was....being in the warblers has really made me question everything I thought about myself" Kurt says and I smile at him sadly before rubbing his back

"Your still the amazing singer we know you as Kurt....don't forget that" I say and Kurt blushes while leaning into me and I hold him closer

"Yea..your still amazing" Rachel says as she gazes towards my brother but I see her eyes move to me for a brief second before all three of us sit down

"So..do you miss us" Rachel asks and I smile a bit and look at Kurt

"I do...I mean I see Blake everyday...and being a warbler is great but...I don't think they appreciate my individuality as much as you guys did and I can't help but think that I let you guys down" Kurt explains and flick his ear

"Ow...rude" Kurt says as I glare at him

"You haven't let anyone down Kurt....you saved yourself from torment which is what you should have done" I say in a stern tone

"Blake's right, it's your life Kurt and you weren't safe at McKinley anymore, and we all get it" Rachel insists causing me to smile

I put my hand over hers that's on the table causing her to look down at it a bit before looking at Kurt

"How come you were never this nice when I was your teammate" Kurt asks and I chuckle

"I ask the same" I say and Rachel flicks my ear now

"Ow" I say with an eye roll

"Because you were my only real competition" Rachel says jokingly causing Kurt and i to laugh

She has said that she was intimidated by Kurt's vocal range but he's not her only competition

Mercedes and Santana are in the running still

I smile up at my two friends as they embrace warmly, I feel my heart flutter at this since family is important to me no matter how shitty my old one is

And Kurt's my brother now....and Rachel....I hope can come back to me

"So how's Finn, i feel bad...I haven't spoken to him since the wedding" Kurt asks and I sigh and get up quickly causing the two to look at me confused

"I uh...I'll go give Lauren her raisinets" I say before walking off, I already gave Lauren her snack

I just wanted to get out of that conversation

I walk back to everyone as the alert rings out, I sigh as I head to where we get changed and put on my red dress shirt and black dress pants before walking out to see Rachel standing there in her dress

I look her body over and smile a bit as I slick my hair back and lick my lips

"Wow....you look amazing Rachel" I say as I walk closer to her and she grabs my forearms

"Thank you....uh..can we sit together..I don't want sit next to Finn" She says and I nod before intertwining our fingers and walk us out

We walk to our area in the audience and Finn immediately gets up and we're face to face, I look at him with barley any emotion as Rachel pulls me to the empty seats next to Brittany

I look up at the older woman singing as I try not to stare at Rachel, she and Finn are together and I already am having a hard time not saying how I feel

I feel a hand grab mine and I look over to see Rachel staring at me with soft eyes, i smile at her and kiss the back of her hand while looking her in her eyes

"I'm right here" I say before looking at the senior citizens singing on stage, they finish singing and I clap for them with the rest of the club as the curtains slide shut

The curtains slide open once again as the warblers are announced causing me to smile when I see Kurt

"Wow...that Blaine guy can sing....this isn't intimidating at all" I say sarcastically as I watch Blaine and Kurt

"You'll do great...don't worry" Rachel says and I smile a bit as she leans over and kisses my cheek hesitantly before laying her head on my shoulder

I smile with a blush playing on my cheeks, I look over proudly as I watch Kurt perform and I can tell he's nervous

I mouth to smile and give more energy causing him to smile and wink at me before I see his eyes go to Blaine, he so likes him

They end their performance and while I'm happy for Kurt, I'm even more nervous for Mercedes and I

I stand up and clap for Kurt as do the rest of the audience, I feel like a proud older sister even though he and I are the same age

Now it's time for us to go on.....god I'm scared

A/n yuh yuh....I'm back lowkey lol but we'll see, I feel like CoryxKenshin when I take these long ass breaks lol (Says this as I watch Cory..like as I write this)
