We were in a field of grass. "I must admit, number Five, in all the time that I've been here, I've never met anyone quite like you. Hazel and Cha-Cha, for example, are talented, certainly, but, they can't see the big picture. Your spunk, your enterprising spirit.." She said, putting a arm around Five's shoulder. I rolled my eyes, feeling jealous. I would never admit that out loud, though. "Well, it reminds me a great deal of myself, if.. I may be so vainglorious." I furrowed my brows, as there was a line for the door. "If things work out for you here.." We skipped the entire line, and she signaled for me to do something. I just looked around, and saw another gem. It was a sapphire. "You could potentially make a great successor Five."
"Open the door." The sapphire whispered at me.
I turned to the touch pad. "I don't know the password." I said, simply.
"851216". Its the password for everything." She said. I nodded, putting it in. The door opened, and we walked in. My mouth went agape. It was full of people, and gems next to almost all of them. She took off her jacket, and threw it at me. I rolled my eyes. This is awful.
"I'd like to discuss the logistics of my family's safety at your earliest convenience." I furrowed my brows, not processing anything he just said. We started to go up the stairs. "As well as this body replacement."
"Such chutzpah. Its refreshing, I'll admit. Slow down, Five. All in good time. In fact, now that you've finally agreed to work with us, we've got all the time in the world." We finally made it up the stairs, and she started to give a tour. "The Commission works in support of a delicate balance between the time line of events and mankind's freewill." We went by the briefcases, and there was an Amethyst guarding the door. She looked so much bigger than the Amethyst I knew. "The briefcase is no longer apart of your kit, Five. Free your mind." She put her arm around his shoulder again. I just sighed. Might as well get used to it.. "You're in management now. One of us." We went up another floor. "All the people on this floor are case managers, each one responsible for one major event at a time." We looked inside or the room, filled with people and desks and exc,.
"So many of them.." Me and Five said in sync.
"Impressive, isn't it? Being apart of something.. so grand." We just stared in amaze. "Come along."
We started to walk, and I held Five's hand. I know I wasn't exactly happy with him, but I didn't feel so well here. He made me feel safer. "I don't like it here." I whispered to him.
