I started to regain consciousness. I have no idea how long it's been since I was knocked out. After a few seconds, my sight was starting to clear up a bit and that's when I saw a weird thing in front of me. It was like a weird wolf-like figure. I think heh. I was so confused. My head was still fussy and dizzy from getting knocked out. It tilted its head, I think it was confused about what I was.
"I think it was the glasses," Akita said, looking at Arlo giggling. "They're huge!" She added.
"I mean I got big glasses but I didn't think they looked that funky," Arlo replied laughing.
I just kind of ignored it at first. I looked at the village... then it all came back to me... Every. single. thing... before I blacked out.

The village... It was all burnt down to a crisp. There was nothing left. There was just a bunch of ashes, scraped wood, a few wooden posts still standing, and burning piles. I was starting to get up slowly.
"Hey umm, are you sure you should be getting up?" The weird wolf thing said worryingly.
I just ignored him though. I started looking around, letting my eyes adjust to the light for a moment. I looked over and terror immediately struck me.
"Ar- are you ok Mr. ?" The wolf-looking thing said in concern. I immediately ran over to what was left of my sister. I laid beside her crying my eyes out and tucked my head slightly under what was left.

"wha- what happened...?" the wolf thing asked, seeming like she was trying not to cry.
"She... she was my sister... she got burned alive by a weird creature using magic."
"oh... I'm so sorry to hear that.." The wolf creature uttered sadly.
Then I remembered that I heard a faint "wait" from Mom. I got up and ran over to my house. It was demolished. I went to the kitchen where my mother was. I was looking around to see if there was anything she could have left. After a bit of looking, I found a book underneath some burnt wood full of ashes. I moved the wood and brushed off the ashes, it said on the front. "Magic". I was a bit confused and concerned but I kept it with me anyways. After I walked out of the house area back into the field I saw the wolf-like creature use water magic, burning out some fire. Everything started hitting me at once as I remembered that thing that was using fire magic on my village. I began to feel so much fear just racing into me.

My body started shaking so much and I didn't know what to do with it. It looked over at me and I started running. I started running into the forest with tears of fear running down my face and falling onto the muddy wet ground. I tripped and fell, and then the book dropped and fell out of my hands onto the dew-filled grass. I got up to grab it but then, it flipped to a page. I backed up a bit in confusion. I moved forward a bit again to see what it said. I read the word and it said.
"⍙⟟⏁⊑ ⏁⊑⟒ ⌇⌿⍀⟒⏃⎅ ⍜⎎ ⋔⊬ ⍙⟟⋏☌⌇ ⏃⋏⎅ ⏃ ⎎⌰⟟☊☍ ⍜⎎ ⋔⏃☌⟟☊ ⌿⍜⍀⏁⏃⌰ ⍜⌿⟒⋏ ⍜⋏ ⋔⊬ ☊⍜⋔⋔⏃⋏⎅."
It looked oddly familiar, but I needed clarification about what it meant. I started studying the symbols. Then I remembered. It was the ancient language of Amirada. I remembered that my mom used to teach it to me when I was younger, so I tried to decipher it. I translated it to,

"With the spread of my wings and a flick of magic, a portal will open on my command."
"What is that even supposed to mean?" I wondered.
I saw this black portal starting to form from the middle out right after it formed something flung out. Right, when it flung out the wolf-like creature jumped over me and in front. The creature from the portal flung out of the portal into the tree and landed on an orange king oyster mushroom.
"it's small, I bet it won't hurt you". The wolf creature told me.

"Are you ok!??" I yelled worryingly as I ran up to the small creature.
The small creature froze and quietly muttered
"Y-yes..."
I flew up to where the creature was on the glowing mushroom. I picked them up in my arms to keep them warm. I was flying back to the wolf-like creature. Within seconds a dark shadow was covering my whole body and before I even knew it I was falling to the ground. I was trying to cover the smaller creature in my arms because I didn't know where we were falling. As we were falling I felt something wet hit my back. I opened my eyes to see that the wolf was using its water magic to break the fall. But the dark magic moved and covered my whole back, deflecting the magic. We fell into the pond that was there and landed on one of the vibrant purple bounce mushrooms that were in the pond.
"What the heck was that?" I was thinking to myself in concern.

We swam up to the surface. I went to fly out of the water but then I realized that there were chains all over my body, covering my wings from flying. I swam to the surface in panic. When I got onto the grass I was trying to take the chains off. But they wouldn't come off. I managed to move one a bit but then a dark shadow covered it and it went back to where it was. I looked down to see the smaller creature.
"Thank you.. but why did you fall like that?" The small creature asked.
"You're welcome, but I fell because of these chains."
The wolf creature jumped down from the mushroom and walked over to us.
"Wait, those chains look familiar," the wolf mumbled to itself.
