Ashley was drunk. It had never happened before since she wasn't an alcohol drinker. But the pain of seeing Derek with another woman and him pushing her away had made her desperate.

She had started drinking the night away when she came across Peter. Spurred by liquid courage, she dragged Peter into her drinking frenzy. Peter happily obliged her every antic and by the end of the night, the two were dancing crazily in his apartment.

At least, that was the last thing Ashley remembered when she woke up the next day with a terrifying headache. It took her a minute to recognize where she was and another minute to realize she was naked.

Ashley immediately paled as the body beside her stirred awake. Pulling the covers away from his face, Peter greeted her with a smug grin.

"Well, hello there."

Ashley's heart started racing and she swallowed nervously.

"Di-Did we...?"

"Did we what?" Peter catching her line of thought, the grin still on his face. "Had the best night ever?"

Ashley blushed at what he was implying but still managed a tiny nod.

"What do you think?" Peter gestured to their naked bodies.

"Noooo!" Ashley jumped out of bed, pulling the covers away and wrapping it around her body.

Unwittingly, she pulled the covers off Peter as well, exposing his chiseled body. Though embarrassed, she couldn't help but appreciate how sexy he was. Her eyes momentarily hovered from his face to his well-toned chest and then down to his exposed manhood. Peter grinned as he watched her eyeing his body and let out a chuckle. Embarrassed at having been caught staring, she turned away and shook such thoughts from her head.

"This-This can't be happening." She kept mumbling to herself as she searched for her clothes that had been spewed all over the ground.

Her words didn't escape Peter's werewolf hearing and he watched her in amusement.

Finally, Ashley found her clothes and got dressed. Then she turned to Peter with a serious expression.

"Nothing. Happened." She emphasized each word with an underlying threat.

Then she left the apartment.

Peter waited until he could no longer hear her before letting out a laugh. Then, arms behind his head, he leaned back into his pillow with a satisfied smile at the thought of Ashley Hale.

Ever since that night with Peter, Ashley could barely keep her composure around him. Whenever he was around, her thoughts would often wander to the morning she found herself in his bed. Her heart would then race at the memory, and she would lose focus on the task at hand. She had tried her best to avoid him and or at least avoid eye contact with him whenever they were in the same room.

So it was quite the predicament she now found herself in. She had stopped by Derek's apartment to see him only to be greeted by a half-naked Peter fresh out of the shower.

"I-I was looking for Derek." Ashley spoke softly, her eyes darting everywhere else but his body.

"He should be back soon. Come in." With his trademark grin, he invited her in.

Ashley gulped nervously but remained silent as she followed Peter into the living room.

Peter noticed her reaction and whispered into her ear: "Like what you see?"

Ashley jumped at his husky voice but refused to admit how enticing it sounded.

Being alone in the same room was hard for her. Thoughts of his body consuming her thoughts and causing her face to redden.

Her response made Peter want to tease her more. Before she could take a seat, he drew close to her, cornering her against one of the cement pillars of the apartment.

He smiled as he heard Ashley's heart pounding against her chest.

"I know you've been avoiding me, Ash." He called her fondly by her nickname.

"Wha-what? N-no, I haven't." Ashley could barely get the words out of her mouth. Her eyes still looking everywhere but at him.

Smiling, Peter drew closer to her, their bodies and lips an inch from one another.

His proximity to her was making her flustered as she felt the warmth from his breath and his body.

Again, there were those thoughts of him. Thoughts that sent a shiver up her spine.

She liked Derek. Why was she thinking of another man's body?

Grinning with mischief, he held her hand gently, the touch feeling electric to both of them. Then he raised her hand to his mouth and kissed the palm of her hand.

"What are you doing?" She pulled her hand away and pushed him aside. "You can't just grab people's hands and kiss them..."

Peter chuckled inwardly. Her habit of blabbing when nervous was still the same.

He had to admit, Ashley avoiding him like the plague had thrown him off. Seeing the same Ashley he's known gave him a sense of relief.

She was still his Ashley.
