A few days after the battle Yerdon came to viset the village and meet Asha and Corrie.
He were very happy that Arendea got family members that wernt cruel and heartless like her Father. He then began to read the reports of how many soldiers has died in battle and that one prisoner that managed to escape. Arendea became worried of that prisoner might have gone to Jardi and told him anything He might have overheard.
She just hoped that the prisoner didnt get to Yerdon or that He just went into hiding. She tried to pay attention to Yerdon and Asha's conversation with a smile on her face.
Trying to make herself stop worrying and just enjoy the momment with her family before going back to the camp. And before it was time for them to leave came Asha decided to show Her grand-daughter something.
He took her to the beach and Arendea asked him with a curious look on her face. "What did You want to show me?" Asha lookes at her and said before blowing on a whisle shaped like a seashell.
"I want You to meet someone..." A secound later a sound that sounded a bit like a dear appeared and a strange looking creature came from a top the small hill and ran towards them.
The creature stopped a few feet away from them and began to rear and let out a small screech. Then it put its front hooves down and let out a few heavy breaths as Asha said to the creature.
"Hello, boy. It has been a while." He then turned to Arendea and said to her with a small smile. "Arendea, Meet Arthi. He's my Quirnith and has been with me ever since I was just a baby."
Arendea looked at the four legged creature and took inn its large deer like horns, two large wings on the side of its large horse like torso. Its moose like hooves red as the setting sun as golden markings coverd its legs. Its fur has the same color like the sand and almost lookes like feathers as it blows in the wind.
She took notice of its blue eyes staring at her for a few secounds before Arthi spread one of its wings out and began to bow its head. Arendea looked at the Quirnith with confusion and turned to her grandfather who just gave her a smile and told her.
"Put Your arm out to the side and bow, That's his way of saying hello and to show respect." Arendea turned back to Arthi and did what her grandfather instructed her to.
Arthi then folded its wing and went over to her and puts its nuzzle at her baby bump as its wolf like ears twitched a little. Its horns and the markings on its legs began to glow witch caused Arendea to winded her eyes.
The glowing stopped after a few secounds and Arthi stepped away from her and looked at her with a smile in its eyes. Asha chuckled at the look of awe in Arendea's eyes and said to her.
"Lookes like He gave You and Your child a little blessing." Arendea turned to look at him and said with a curious look on her face.
"Blessing? I thought Quirniths give protection to expecting mothers and guide Fathers, And even help warriors to remind them what they are fighting for."
Asha gently stroke Arthi's fur as He said to her. "That's true, but they also give blessings to women to make sure that they get a good delivery of their baby.
But I have a feeling that his blessing is going to help You out when the time comes." He then let out a small sigh and said to her. "If You had Your own Quirnith, then the blessing would be twice as strong."
Arendea looked at him for a few secounds before looking at Arthi's hoof prints in the sand. They looked a bit simular to the ones She found at the top of the steps to the spring and said to Asha.
"Grandfather, was Arthi near the spring a few days ago?" Asha turned to look at her and said to her. "No, He is never near the spring. Why do You ask?"
Arendea looked at him and said. "Well, the reason I asked is because I found some hoof prints when I left the spring the night I found out that Corrie and I are blood related.
