"Are you sure that you can do this?" I asked.

"Nope, definitely not," Magnus grinned at me. "It's all on you, Water Boy-"

"DON'T CALL ME THAT," I said, gritting my teeth.

"Well, you are the one who can explain this best," Magnus smirked at me. "I'm not Greek, anyway. And Mimir couldn't exactly understand Chiron during that meeting that he arranged Bastet."

"Wait," I frowned, "Chiron has meetings with Mimir and Bastet? Two gods from other pantheons?!"

"You didn't know?"

"Of course not!" I frowned. "Chiron has so much to answer for...."

"So, which ones would you like to ask first?" Magnus asked. "I'd definitely go for Odin first, you know, cause he's the king of the gods... and then perhaps Thor- except Thor turned to dust during the Blip, y'know, so that can't happen. Sif, perhaps-"

"Give me all your names and I'll decide which ones we're going to ask," I said.

"On what basis?"

"None, just by name," I smiled. "Go on."

"Okay... well, Odin-"

"Great. Go."

"Mimir-"

"Bad name. Don't like it. No."

"Sif-"

"I like it-"

"Frigg-"

"No-"

"Tyr-"

"I like that-"

"Frey- that's my dad, by the way-"

"Great-"

"Freya-"

"Okay-"

"Aegir-"

"Right-"

"There's Fenris, but he's-"

"Oh, cool name, definitely meeting him-"

"Wait."

"What?"

"Fenris is actually not possible," Magnus said. "Um... he's a villain wolf, you don't want him on your side.."

"All the more reason then," I stopped. "If we don't convince this 'villain,' Tartarus might... and that would add more to the list of people I have to fight, and I literally cannot add one more person because otherwise I swear to gods I'll kill-"

"Okay, okay, chill bro," Magnus said, his eyes wide. "But I'm still not sure... I only tied him up a few years ago..."

"It's okay," I nodded, "I've got great relationships with wolves. Lupa's a good friend."

"I don't know who the hell Lupa is, but they certainly aren't going to be anything like Fenris."

"Let's not think about that right now," I said, "who else are we meeting?"

"Well, the Loki we have Blipped out," Magnus said, "so that takes one down from the list. We could ask Hel-"

"Hell? Like Hell?"

"Yeah, but there are no two 'l's, it's just one," Magnus corrected, "I don't think Surt would join us after he learns I'm on your side though.. But he Blipped out too, so that's fine. I guess that covers the majority. The rest of them'll join automatically."

"Then let's go," I smiled. "Starting from Odin."

***

"So you're saying that this Tartarus- person- whoever that is, will tear the world down?" Odin asked me.

"Yes," Athena nodded. She and I sat on the opposite side of the table, and the Norse gods sat, looking at us with narrow eyes and suspicion, with Magnus grinning as he sat next to Frey.

"And are you sure," Odin asked, "that you cannot defeat this monster by yourselves? I mean- how powerful can he be? I haven't heard of a monster that could possibly break apart the universe-"

"This one absolutely can, sir," I nodded. "I've seen him only a few times, but I've heard his voice enough to never want to see him again. We're going to have to create an army of both gods, demigods and mortals if we want to continue to live on this planet. Tartarus leads the greatest army in the world, and I'm sure he won't stop his recruitment until each and every monster, villain and slave is taken in. The Earthborn won't stop killing- they're mindless beasts, and the giants are alone enough to defeat an army of demigods. And if Tartarus reaches out to other pantheons- we have no chance. We need help, and more specifically, we need you."

"Do you have a plan of action?" Tyr, the god of bravery and war.

"Absolutely," I lied. I had no idea. Only Ariana knew the plan, and she never gave it away until the end for her fear of spies.

"We have reports that Tartarus will be attacking very soon," I continued, "we already stopped him from rising once just a year ago. His army was torn apart by a good friend.... but he's reforming it, and he is advancing very quickly- too quickly for an army of monsters. And I suspect they'll be here by the end of this year. We need to be ready. Tartarus doesn't just want to kill us... he wants to take control over the universe. He doesn't want to be a god. He wants to be God with a capital G."

Frey swallowed. "How do you think we can help you?" he asked.

"One," I said, "we need your help during the fight. I've realized that our pantheons don't always get along, but this time, we need you to work together. We may have different ideals, but we need to come to a good conclusion. Athena leads the Greek gods. You lead the Norse gods. Carter Kane and Horus lead the Egyptians. We are going to need a single leader to lead all the gods."

"Since this is a Greek threat that we haven't learned about very well," Magnus said, "the Norse gods should follow Athena."

"WHAT?!"

"MAGNUS CHASE- WHAT ARE YOU EVEN SUGGESTING-"

"Listen, listen," Magnus said. "LISTEN!" His body glowed yellow and a surge of power swept through the hall. "I SAID LISTEN!" The hall went silent as once. I felt myself go numb and my mind seemed to go into panic mode. My ADHD screamed at my face. Why is everything so silent? I put a hand to my forehead and bit my lip.

"My son," Frey said, patting Magnus on the shoulder, "your alf seidr is becoming very powerful. I'm proud."

I grit my teeth. So it was the alf seidr thing that just gave me a heart attack.

Magnus smiled, "Athena is the goddess of wisdom and strategy. If there's anyone else who can lead us all best, it could be Odin, but no offense, my lord-"

"None taken," Odin nodded. "But I've commonly noticed-"

"-but we don't know enough about the Greek gods and their myths to be able to attack this Tartarus and lead an army of gods."

"On the other hand," I nodded, "Athena is the chosen leader of the gods. After a great discussion, the demigods themselves chose her to lead us. I can say this very confidently, Odin. Athena was born to lead."

"I will say one thing," Athena said, "I will not let Tartarus take this world away from us. From any of us. Our home will remain untouched, but only if we cooperate and put our efforts in one unified direction- towards saving the Earth. Whether or not I lead you, I will still do my best to save my children and my family."

Magnus frowned. "I don't think I've actually ever heard a god say that."

I snorted as the Norse gods scowled at Magnus.

"Just stating facts, dude."
