Eventually during the evening we were all together for some family dinner, mother was the king's younger sister after all so it made sense. I was seated next to Luke, holding up conversations with Luke, Jace, the twins and my siblings until the king arrived, the dinner has officially began.
"How good it is to see you all tonight, together," Viserys says as he looks around the room "prayer before we begin?" Alicent proposes mostly to the king ugh dramatic once again.
"And to Vaemond Velaryon, may the gods give him rest" uncle daemon clearly found it funny, I couldn't even bare thinking about it at all I was still too.. sore, sensitive about.
"This is an occasion for celebration, it seems. My oldest grandson, Jace, will marry his cousin, Baela, further strengthening the bond between our houses. A toast to the young prince... and his betrothed." The king toasted "hear hear"
"Well done, Jace. You'll finally get to lie with a woman." Aegon whispered to his nephew. my cousin cannot go a second without an idiotic comment, the girl shakes her head in annoyance.
"Let us toast as well Prince Lucerys... the future Lord of the Tides." "Hear hear" Luke seemed uneasy so I rested my hand above his and gave it a little squeeze "you'll be great" I smiled at him.
"You do know how the act is done, I assume? At least in principle? Where to put your cock and all that." Aegon once again starting his shenanigans so I jump in " dear cousin, how have you been? Married life and all that? Oh and the kids are absolutely adorable" I told Aegon seeming oblivious enough to everything, pretending I haven't heard anything
"Ah it has been great, thank you cousin! Hope the gods bless you with a great marriage and amazing children yourself" he raised his cup and I did too, we drank to the future, my future
"It both gladdens my heart and fills me with sorrow to see these faces around the table. The faces most dear to me in all the world... yet grown so distant from each other..." "in the years past. My own face... is no longer a handsome one..." uncle Viserys chuckled softly earning a smile from me, he held lots of courage to show us his missing eye "if indeed it ever was."
"But tonight... I wish you to see me as I am. Not just a king... but your father. Your brother. Your uncle. Your husband... and your grandsire. Who may not, it seems walk for much longer among you." As saddening as it may sound, his words did hold truth to them. He was obviously not gonna live till I have children of my own aged 10 years

If not for the sake of the Crown... then for the sake of this old man who loves you all so dearly." It hurt me seeing my uncle like this, he does truly love his family yet they're so far away from each other it pains even me
Uncle sat back down, he is quite fragile after all. Cousin Nyra stood up with her cup in her hand surely to propose a toast "I wish to raise my cup to Her Grace, the Queen. I love my father. But I must admit that no one has stood more loyally by his side than his good wife. She has tended to him with unfailing devotion, love, and honor. And for that, she has my gratitude... and my apology." A toast to her childhood companion, how sweet
"Your graciousness moves me deeply, Princess. We are both mothers and we love our children. We have more in common than we sometimes allow. I raise my cup to you and to your house. You will make a fine queen." And a toast from the queen
Aegon loves interrupting things does he not, the girl couldn't help but roll her eyes at the comment her cousin was making. "I, um... I regret the disappointment you are soon to suffer. But if you ever wish to know what it is to be well satisfied, all you have to do is ask." Oh Aegon
I jumped up onto my feet "Gods we haven't been with each other all together in a very long time, I do enjoy this. I hope we can have memorable moments like this more often." I sigh before continuing "I hope everyone has a great life and blessed futures. I myself cannot see the future without wishing to have a devotedly partner such as the queen herself, a loving partner such as the princess. And children as beautiful as everyone in our family"
"I raise my cup to all the passed generations of our glorious family, without them we wouldn't have been here and a special thank you to my dear uncle who tries to bring peace to everyone at any time, I hope I can get married and have my first child witnessed by you before you pass, it would be an honor" tears welled up in my eyes as I finished my toast, I could hear my brothers giggling at my state and Luke was rubbing my back.
"That was a beautiful speech my lovely daughter, mine would be short in comparison. I would like to toast to my lovely brothers Viserys and Daemon, also to their lovely wives" Lagertha walked to her brothers and gave them both a kiss on the cheek and walked back "bound together they will" a prophecy muttered my mother, second one today.
"To Prince Aegon and Prince Aemond. We have not seen each other in years, but I have fond memories of our shared youth. And as men, I hope we may yet be friends and allies. To you and your family's good health, dear uncles." Jacaerys toasts "to you as well" Aegon replied
Helaena happily stands up to also propose a toast "I would like to toast to Baela and Zaephyira." I stop and looked in confusion at her, what does she mean by that? Nobody paid much attention to it, they just brushed it off except for my sister Aurora, Lucerys and my mother who was smiling, seems she knows something we don't
"They'll be married soon. It isn't so bad. Mostly he just ignores you... except sometimes when he's drunk." I can't help but stare at her in shock, married soon? This is too confusing
"Ah the food is great, compliments to the cooks" I smile, I then leaned to my right to be closer to Luke "let's dance please, it will be fun" I laughed as he stood up and brought me to be near Jace and Helaena. We proceeded to dance and enjoy the music, it was a fine evening.
