As you and Reekid walked through the amusement park looking for a place to sit now that you have acquired food, fans seemed to spot the two of you. It was really only a group of five. Three boys and two girls. At the moment anyway.
They approached you with excited grins on their faces, eager to ask for a photo and chat with their favorite streamers.
"Hey, it's Reekid and [Your Twitch Username]! Can we get a picture with you guys?" one of the boys asked.
You and Reekid exchanged looks and smiled at each other before agreeing to take the photo. The group huddled together and snapped a few shots before thanking you and Reekid.
"Mind if we hang out for a bit?" One of the girls asked. "We're huge fans and would love to talk with you guys."
You and Reekid looked at each other again, both shrugging before agreeing. The group led you over to a small picnic area and sat down.
"I'm Taylor," one of the girls introduced herself. "These are my friends, Liam, Josh, Maddy, and Daniel."
Daniel seemed to be a bit more jealous though. And instead focused more on you than he did his friends or Reekid.
You couldn't help but notice Daniel's gaze lingering on you, but you didn't want to dismiss him completely. After all, he had been a fan and it was nice to connect with viewers.
"So, what brings you guys to the amusement park today?" Liam asked, breaking the momentary silence that had fallen over the group.
"We were brought here by some older friends to film some content. We ditched them for food though," Reekid answered.
"That's so cool! What kind of content do you make?" Maddy inquired.
"Mostly gaming, but we also vlog and do some challenges too, depending on who we're with," you replied.
The group seemed genuinely interested in what you and Reekid did, but you couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable with the way Daniel was staring at you.
As the conversation continued, you tried your best to include everyone in the discussion, but Daniel seemed to only have eyes for you. You started to feel uneasy and checked your phone for a distraction, and as you put it down you came up with the perfect excuse.
"I'll be right back. Just going to go to the bathroom." You interjected, standing up, taking your phone with you and walking to the nearby bathroom.
Once you made it there, you sat up on the sink area and let out a sigh, removing your mask from your face as you let out a sigh. "Thank god."
But your relief only lasted so long. Taylor walked in and noticed you on the sink's table.
"You okay?" She asked before noticing you cover your face once more. "Don't you show your face on camera?"
"I do. I just feel better wearing a mask when I'm around way too many strangers. Even if I don't wear it when I'm in school." You answered.
"Alright. Your reasons are your own." Taylor spoke, respecting your decisions. "So why'd you leave?"
"Daniel just made me uncomfortable and I needed some space before I broke down or something." You sighed.
Taylor nodded before sitting on the other side of the sink table from you. "I don't think he accepts that you and Reekid are dating."
"Pfft. Don't know what chance he has. Reekid's the best thing that has ever happened to me. I wouldn't leave him even if it was for the world."
You smiled, feeling grateful for Taylor's support. It was nice to have someone who understood your situation, even if she was just a fan.
"Thanks, Taylor. It means a lot to have someone who gets it," you said.
"Of course. We may be fans, but we care about you too. And we don't want you to feel uncomfortable," Taylor replied.
You nodded, grateful for the kind words. As you both walked out of the bathroom, you saw Reekid and the rest of the group waiting outside.
"Anyway, ready to head back to the others?" Reekid asked, noticing your relieved expression.
"Yeah. Let's go," you said, taking his hand and beginning to walk away. "Wait one second."
You ran back and pulled out your phone, hooking an arm around Taylor as you skidded to a stop, lowering your mask and taking a picture with her.
She quickly pulled out her phone and did the same. "Can I get your number? In case I ever wanted to annoy you?" The female wondered.
You took her phone out of her hands and typed it in notes before handing it back.
"Thanks again." You chuckled, raising your mask and running back to join your boyfriend's side.
"You like that one the best don't you?" Anthony smiled.
"Yeah. She's the coolest out of the group of them." You replied, once again lowering your mask and pressing a gentle kiss on the other's cheek.
