"Hey guys I have tested positive for COVID so I have to go home," my one roommate tells us. She was not home all week anyway so I doubt that I have it. I have to get a COVID test in case I somehow got it. I am making an appointment to get tested tomorrow but of course, the school email me that I need to go home ASAP since I could have it even though it is super small. I start packing while being on the phone with my parents and I am freaking out about how I am going to do class on Monday and how my professor will react to me being online on Monday. I am okay with history with Christian because online is great for that class. I text Connor that my roommate got COVID; of course, he just sends me a sad face. I cannot help but laugh but am also angry because he is saying nothing. Some people knock on the door, and a sanitation squad comes in and sprays the dorm. My roommate takes a photo and it looks like the people in "Monsters Inc.". I got an appointment for a test the next day and I still go home since it is the rules. The next day comes up and I snap Connor my slip of paper that they handed me and he snaps back saying I spelled something wrong. I cannot help but giggle out loud. "Marjorie Anderson" the test-taker lady calls. I get up and explain the whole situation and hand her my paper. She swabs my nose and I am so uncomfortable. "Ok, we will email your results in five days. Just quarantine until then and have a nice day," I called my parents to pick me up since they were on their way anyway from dancing. "Hey Marjorie. How are you feeling?" my dad asks. "I feel fine. I cannot believe I just got there and I already have to come home." I rant. They notice me without a mask on and tell me to put it on because I MAY have COVID even though it is very unlikely. "Well just think about it, you can spend more time with the cats and you will have peace and quiet." my mom reminds me. We enter the house and I head straight upstairs and get settled in. Once I walk in, it is like a hotel room with towels on my made bed. The whole week I am home, I am bored and just want to go back to watching tv while doing school. The only positive was getting room service until I got the email that I am negative. I also could not go back to school for another 2 weeks which was strange because the two other roommates tested positive. I snap Connor the news but he just gives me a thumbs up. I hate how he is so dry towards me because I always try to talk to him and he never texts me back. It is always a straight face or a thumbs-up. I know I deserve more but maybe he is just busy. I mean it is the start of the school year so it is hectic and he probably has a lot more work to do since he is graduating soon.

It is currently Wednesday again and I am so looking forward to class because each person has to speak and I can hear Christian's voice. We have another big writing assignment for this class and people in my class have been asking each other for advice. I snap Christian on my progress and I am waiting if he will say anything to me but he does not. I wish I can talk to him more but I am trying to work on things with Connor but lately, things have slowed down. I decided to talk more about another guy on my private to see if he will get jealous and actually step up. The next day, I woke up and I see that he had un-added me from Snapchat. "He un-added me!!" I croak. I am on the verge of tears and I run to the main area to tell my roommate what happened. "Marge, it is his loss. You deserve someone much better. And plus he does not even go here." I mean I guess she is right but this still stings.
