"Will you be by my side?" Damien x Pip

Chapter 8: Faker

"And if I put this on my lips, I won't feel the burning?" Cathryn asks.

"Nope. It'll make it so that no matter what touches it, you won't feel a thing," a mysterious figure says as they sit in their dark tent.

Cathryn smiles an ugly smile, "Perfect." She takes it from the potion demon and runs off.

"Wait, the payment!! You, witch!!"

It had been a few weeks after the Cerberus day, and Pip had gotten not only closer to the puppy Cerberus but also with Damien. So now today Pip and Damien were in Damien's room, "Are you quite certain, Damien?" he asked.

"Of course, just rest your head here," Damien replies. Pip rests his head on Damien's chest. He didn't hear a heartbeat, nor did he breathe, but he was warm, so very warm.

"I like this...." Pip says as he smiles,

"Philip....I....I want to tell you something," Damien says.

"Hm?" Pip lifts and tilts his head a little, "What is it?"

"Philip....I....I like you," Damien replies, looking away.

"Damien... I like you too. You're a splendid mate, even if I sort of work for you," Pip says, misunderstanding.

Damien shakes his head, "No. Like....I.."

Pip blinks in confusion, "You what, Damien?"

"I....I love you, Philip!! I love you so damn much. You're so cute and caring and just my dream person," Damien blurts out. Pip blushes, and Damien grabs his hands, "I want to spend the rest of eternity with you."

Pip blushes more, "Damien, I love you as well." They stare at each other for a while, looking into each other's eyes as they get closer, when the butler steps into the room.

"Sir, more girls are-" the butler was cut off by Damien.

"Cancel them! I found the one....I'm sure of it."

The butler is shocked but nods and walks out. Damien looks at Pip with love in his eyes, "Say, love....how would you like to take a walk with me....take Cerberus out too?"

Pip nods, "Yeah, sounds good." They both get up and head out.

Cathryn runs faster as she sees Damien in the distance. She runs up to him. He was with Pip and Cerberus. She doesn't pay mind to them as she jumps onto him.

"What the-!? Hey!!" he yells out of shock.

She then kisses him, the potion taking effect, and she does not feel a thing. Damien pulls her off fast, gagging, "Oh god! What the-what is wrong with you!?" he then freezes, "You didn't feel a thing...." he looks at her.

She was smiling an ugly, smug smile, "No! Oh god, no!" Damien backs up and touches his lips, "You're....the one?"

She laughs, "Yes! I knew it!! Haha!" she starts celebrating. Damien, on the other hand, looks at Pip, his Pip.

"Philip...." Pip understood what happened. He was already silently crying.

"Damien.... you're...."

Damien grabs him and pulls him close, "Philip no....No....I...." Damien couldn't finish what he was saying cause that's when his father dropped from the sky,

"Damien! You found them!! Fantastic!!" he yelled.

Damien held his head. Everything was happening too fast, "No, I....Phili-"

Cathryn grabs his face, "Aren't you happy. You get a hot thing like me!" she then kisses him again, to which Damien then pushes her off.

"No!! I don't like you!!" he yells.

"Damien. Be nice. She is your future bride. Plus, the kiss is never wrong. You might not like her now but she wouldn't be the one if you didn't grow to love her, eventually." Damien shakes his head.

"No! I-I'm gay!!" he yells.

Satan just laughs, "Clearly not. Perhaps your bi son."

"No!! I'm...." There was nothing Damien could do. Their minds were set, and Damien would have to marry that ugly hag while Pip cried.

A few days later and so many things have changed and not for the good. Damien was miserable, and Pip.... Pip was kicked out of the castle, and despite begging and pleading, Damien's dad and Cathryn sentenced Pip to torture. Damien begged them not to do it, but Pip had accepted his fate. The day Pip left, Damien cried for what most people in the castle will tell you, 'for the first time in his life,'

"Boy didn't even cry when being born," some say.

"That wee Pip-boy," everyone in the castle was forced only to call Pip by his mock name, that is if they were allowed to talk about him at all, "I reckon cast a spell on the prince. Damien showed more emotion that day than he ever did in his life."

Damien hated Cathryn. He didn't like her really before, probably cause she was really just unpleasant in general, but now Damien wanted to rip her limb from limb. Seeing her scream in pain as she slowly died, Damien smiled at the thought. It was his only relief from this horrible situation. Right now, he wanted to jump out a window. He wanted to see his Pip, his Philip, his love, but how?
