THE SUN LIT UP THE GREENHOUSE as miss Tornhill spoke about the power of a nightshade. Marilyn's classes usually is Lily's favourite part of the day, but today something just isn't right. The girl doesn't recognize herself.

The blonde threw a look over her shoulder to get a smile from the werewolf and her vampire friend, and sent a soft smile back before asking:
"did you hear the instructions for today?"

Enid's brows furrowed in the matter of a second and seemed genuinely worried as she replied:
"you're usually the one to tell me, whats going on today?"

Loomes let out a sigh, before shrugging and turning around. Miss Thornhill gave her a confused look for talking in class since she's usually her best student, but kept quiet. Lily didn't have the guts to raise her hand and ask the woman about the lesson herself, so she figured that she would figure it out on her own, until a familiar voice was heard from her left.

"We're going to study the nighshade's feautres. A ruler will come to hand."
Loomes turned to look at the goth who just helped her out of nowhere. Lily smiled a bit and let out a: "thank you" before picking up her notebook to gather herself.

Wednesday didn't open to a longer conversation as usual, but continued to jot down in her own notebook. After a while, Miss Thornhill gave Loomes a nightshade and the blonde put on her gloves to start studying the plant. She had just picked up her ruler, when the goth spoke again:
"I have come to the conclusion that I really enjoy this class".

Lily turned around, surprised by her sudden speech. Wasn't Wednesday like, the most introvert person at the whole school? Aside from herself, of course. Loomes got lost in her thoughts, and a moment later, she fould herself studying the raven instead of the plant. After gathering herself once again, she quickly replied:
"that's great, Wednesday."

Earning a confused look from Addams, Lily turned around, all red in her face. All eyes were on her, realising that Lily Loomes spoke for the first time since she came to Nevermore Academy.

"What is so outstandingly interesting about you?"
The goth shot another question, but this time, Lily didn't answer. Wednesday just turned around after realising that an answer from the taller girl wasn't an opportunity. The blonde looked at her teacher, who just replied with a comforting smile before mouthing a:
"good joob".

Lily was very introvert, and didn't speak at all, so the slightest sound escaping her mouth would always result in the class staring her down. And attention wasn't something that she adored, easier said. She preffered living in other people's shadows without giving people her real self. She is pretty much the mystery of the school, and we all know that one specific goth girl adores mysteries at least as much as the blonde adores books.

After making sure that everyone had finished staring, Lily picked up her ruler and started to work diligently, taking quick glances at the goth every now and then. Of course, the goth herself noticed her bench mates peeks, but didn't mind.

Unlike Lily, she was used to getting strange looks thrown at her in the hallway or anyway around campus. The looks didn't creep her out, they were just sort of there in her world. She didn't look at herself as a warm hearted person who wanted to be liked by everyone around her. Honestly, she didn't care about it at all.

- Time skip -

As soon as the lesson was over, the blonde quickly collected her stuff to head to her dorm. She planned to stay in there until she got a boyfriend, which she knew was the last thing to ever happen in her very unsocial life. She basically ran out of the greenhouse before Miss Thornhill had the time to share the week's homework.

"Hey, Lils??"
The werewolf shouted after her when she ran past her bench, but the girl didn't even answer her best friend. Enid turned to Yoko and earned a confused but not so concerned look from the bloodsucker, who clearly didn't have a problem with Lily leaving.

"I better go after her."
Enid sighed and collected all her stuff to quickly put it in her school bag, hurrying after the blonde. Miss Thornhill just gave her a nod as an approval for her to leave, before turning around to snatch Xavier's artbook to stop him from creating a whole spider family to ruin the plants.

Meanwhile, the goth calmly put her papers and school stuff back into her black school bag, to discreetly get ready to search for Loomes. She had to admit that she was partly interested in why the blonde became so upset over some eyes on her. This could be a more interesting story then she had suspected, and she was not going to miss out on some intriguing tea about the students at Nevermore. Just as she was going to leave, a very irritating voice was heard behind her. The raven slowly turned around, and met Thornhill's gaze.

"Hey, Wednesday, sweetie?"

Wednesday let her eyes meet Marilyn's, without letting one single word leaving her mouth. The red headed woman looked at her student in confusion, before getting ready to finish her sentence, but she didn't have the time to success, before the goth spoke:

"Call me by the S-word ever again and I'll make sure to show you how alike sweet and salt actually can be."

Miss Thornhill stepped back a bit, and cleached her throat, before continuing her speech:
"So, I was going to ask if you could bring Lily Loomes her homework. I've seen you speaking a lot to her and-"

"A lot is a very strong word."
The goth interrupted, hearing Marilyn react with a sigh.

"Anyway, Wednesday. Bring these to her dorm, I assume you'll figure the dorm number out."

The teacher dumped a bunch of paper into the goth's arms and grinned widely.

"well then, chop chop, I assume that you don't want to be late for dinner?"
Wednesday didn't move a muscle, she just turned around and left the greenhouse with quick steps, to look for Lily.
