THE BLONDE COULDN'T HELP but feel a bit scared when the raven led her deeper and deeper into the woods. The trees seemed like to grow taller for every step they took which made the day look like night.

"We should go back for classes soon. Um... we have—"

The girl said, looking desperately into Wednesday's neck to try to get her attention. She started looking for her timetable in her school bag while she tried to keep up with the goth's quick steps.

"we do not have any classes this afternoon. I've already checked."

The girl replied to Lily. She sent a glance over her shoulder and grabbed the witch's arm. The blonde whimpered as Wednesday dragged her through the forest until they stopped to walk.

"You search over there for evidence that can prove Rowan's murderer. I'll look over here."

Wednesday turned her back and started to search on the ground, without noticing the frightened look on Lily's face. Lily tried to do the same but the dark trees and the aura of the forest sent shivers down her spine.

She always used to be interested in mysteries and drama, but she'd always kept a safe distance from this part of the woods. Fine, she could sit by a tree and read on evenings, but not go deep in to search for evidence after a MURDERER performed by a big crazy monster who basically rip people into pieces. The girl didn't like this at all.

"Uhm.. could we maybe get out of here? I don't really feel—"

Wednesday walked up to her and stared right into her soul.

"Lily. Are you scared?"
She asked with a bit of concern hiding behind her cold stare. Lily tried to look away and avoid the goth's stare, but it was impossible. After trying to fight all of her urges for a minute or two, she spoke:

"Look, I know that I've been giving this "idgaf" energy, but this just doesn't sit right with me. I don't feel safe walking around in a literal crime scene even though I find the case extremely intruiging. I never thought that I would be scared but yes, Wednesday Addams, I am scared."

The goth's eyes widened slightly at the unexpected answer, and then she went silent for a moment. Lily ran her hands through her hair, trying to calm her nerves.

"Listen carefully, as long as I'm here, no one can hurt you, Lily. Okay?"

The blonde's eyes softened for a minute, as she could feel the black haired girl's cold hand connect with her warm. She glanced at the goth, who just seemed to have softened up for some reason. And suddenly, she felt safe. She knew that Wednesday was telling the truth.

"you will come with me all right?"
The raven said, still holding the blonde's hand. They walked back to where Wednesday was supposed to look alone, and when they had arrived, someone suddenly grabbed the girls and held them tight, hands covering their mouths.

Lily began to panic again. She knew that this was a very bad idea. A man with a dog passed them, but they didn't seem to notice the two, or, three standing next to the big tree. The goth seeked the witch's hand as she angrily tried to glance over her shoulder to see who the fuck tried to kidnap them. When she found the hand, she held it tight and squeezed it to keep the girl next to her calm. After the man with the dog had disappeared, the person suddenly let go of the girls and just stood there. Wednesday quickly turned around and protected Lily with her body, looking at the boy who had just basically scared the shit out of her friend.

"TYLER?"
The witch exclaimed as she peeked over the goth's shoulder. Her voice sounded hurt, which made Wedneday's heart hurt.

"What the fuck? Like literally, What. The. Fuck?! What are you doing in the woods of nevermore at this time? Don't you have a night shift at the weathervanes like right now? You scared the living shit out of me!!"

Wednesday squeezed Lily's hand again and pushed her back slightly, since she had stepped almost in front of the black haired girl.

"Sorry, I didn't want Elvis to pick up on your scents."

Lily squinted her eyes irritadedly and glanced over at Wednesday, who said:

"Thanks. How did you throw them off."

Lily walked over to the path where the man with the dog, or, the sherrif with his dog just had walked past.

"Coffee grounds."
She exclaimed, after approaching Tyler and Wednesday again. Tyler chuckled wryly and touched his neck, not knowing what to say.

"Deer-hunting hack.."
he spoke after a while.
"One of the perks of being a part-time barista."

Wednesday looked around, before replying:
"I assume your father didn't bring the bloodhound to play fetch."

Lily let a smirk escape her lips at her comment. Tyler then seemed to get upset because he answered very grumpy.

"He doesn't tell me shit. You must think it's weird I'm stalking him."
Lily frowned, well it was a little weird. But Wednesday didn't agree.

"No, I consistently stalk my parents."

Then she pulled Lily's arm to walk away from the boy, who clearly didn't want to leave the two alone. Wednesday slid her hand into the blondes and squeezed carefully, before whispering:
"I'll get you out of here, mkay?"
noticing that she was still upset over the scene that Tyler had caused. Lily nodded and squeezed back, before flinching at Tylers voice behind them.

"Hey, wait, what really happened the other night at the festival? Look, I swear I won't say anything to my dad."

Lily scoffed. He definately would. Sooner or later.

"I thought Rowan was in danger. Turns out I was wrong. Then he used his telekinesis to try and choke me to death."

Tyler looked at Wednesday with a shocked look on his face.

"Holy shit. Wh— why would he do that?"
Nervous, are we?

"No idea. That's when this monster came out of the shadows and gutted him."

The goth stroke her thumb over Lily's palm to calm her down. She wasn't much of a talker when it came to this topic. She had a friendly relationship with Rowan, and his death had shaken the girl violently, even though she didn't show it.

"Whoa. Whoa. So— so you really saw it? And it didn't try to kill you?"

Wednesday sighed, she obviously wanted the barista to leave her be.

"It actually saved me from Rowan. That's the part I'm trying to figure out."
She took a pause and looked down at her hand who was locked with the blonde's.
"I came here to find something that can prove he was murdered and that I haven't lost my mind. Yet."

Lily looked down at her shoes, not knowing what to say or do. She felt overwhelmed in a way that she haven't before. She closed her eyes for a second, and then opened them to relieve her stress. When she was about to look up at Tyler again, she suddenly saw something in the grass on the ground. It was a pair of glasses. Rowan's glasses.

"Hey, Wednesday."
The blonde nudged the goth girl and pointed at the object. Wednesday immediately kneeled beside the glasses and said:
"Good girl."
With a pause, she looked at the shiny, round frames connected to the shattered glass.
"These are Rowan's. I knew it was a cover-up."

Wednesday reached out to pick up the glasses,
when her head suddenly pushed back, and her eyes went wide. She feel right onto the blonde who held her with shocked eyes.

"WEDNESDAY?"
She said, and looked back at where Tyler stood, who had now disappeared.

"oh no... beautiful girl where are you?"
