Who does she think she is?

I walked to the Chairman's office, I was mad, really mad at how disrespectful she is. How can she be so stubborn? Doesn't she work for me? How can she refuse to work when I tell her to?

I knocked and waited until I hear the Chairman's voice to walk in.

"Ahh here you are! We were just talking about you." I hid my surprised expression on seeing my father sitting near the desk.

"I wanted to talk to you, but since you are busy, I'll come back later."

"Oh no, it's fine, just wait here! So, I'll see you at dinner this week."

"You didn't answer me, Dad, I don't need an allowance, I need- why is Jungkook sitting in the CEO's chair while I'm not even in the company." My nails digged deeper in my palms.

"Who said you aren't? You're one of the Directors!" Gramps said.

"How come you give him such a post in the company when I'm still here, and I'm your son, Dad."

"I made my decisions already, prove yourself, then I can think of promoting you."

"I'm already doing this much-"

"I think we've had this conversation multiple times already. As you can see, I'm not sitting idle here, I've got work to do. So either you go back to where you should be right now, or you stay here and help me here."

After a few seconds, I hear him getting up and walking straight out of the office, without even looking at me.

"So, Jungkook." Gramps said in a cheerful tone. " What did you need to talk about?"

I cleared my throat.

"About, Miss Y/N."

"What is it?" He asked, as his expression turned more serious.

"She does not want to work with me."

"Then why isn't she telling me that?"

"Gramps, she does not want to help at all. I thought you said she is very hardworking and since she has been working here for years with you, she is the perfect personal assistant." I stated.

"And I never lied. She is indeed the perfect one."

"How come I can't see it then?"

"You haven't worked with her for even a month, Jungkook. Give it time, give yourself time."

"She is stubborn.

"So are you." Gramps shrugged.

"Gramps, you aren't getting my point here."

"Then explain it to me."

I took a breath and told him everything that happened these past days with Miss Y/N.

"Well, first of all, she is right, there is no such obligation on her to do any overtime. And why would you call her after work to talk about work?"

"This is how I work-"

"Then you're overworking yourself. There is a time for everything. After office hours, it's your personal time. You use it how you want except for anything related to work. It's the time you use to spend with your friends, to go out, to enjoy yourself, to spend it with.. with family."

"I have no family and no friends. And when I have nothing to do, I try to focus on work, on this company."

"That should be your 'me time'."
