"Hey" Anna sheepishly walks in
I swear if one more person comes in like they are treading on egg shells
I'm going to lose it
"Hey Anna" I turn to face her
It's been three months since everything happened.
Two months since they found my mothers body.
And one month since my brother passed.
It's also been a week since having their funerals back to back.
You would think I'd be at least sad feel at least something.
But in reality I don't.
I think it's hard to feel something to someone who made you emotionally distant towards them.
"How are you?" She asks
"I'm fine" I smile
She nods her head before sitting on the bed behind me.
"Will you stop acting like that" I pipe up
"Acting like what?"
"Acting like we're strangers or something"
"Ok then, so what are you and lover boy doing lately?"
And here's the fun explanation.
Vincent was there for me each day after everything that happened.
Which also means tonight he off work.
"Nothing much though considering he is off work tonight I need ideas"
"Ideas for what?" I hear Vincent say walking in
"Ideas for how the bush should look" I blurt
"Yeah second thoughts I'm out"
I laugh as he turns away like he's about to walk out.
"So what you doing tonight?" Anna asks
Vincent turns to look at Anna realising I'm looking at him to.
"I'm thinking a nice relax night" he starts
"A nice relaxing night?" I question
"Only joking" he says acting like a naughty school boy
Anna just laughs which isn't helpful.
But I'd probably laugh myself if I was her.
"Right on that note I'm taking a shower which your always welcome to join me" Vincent winks
"Oh am I?" I cross my arms
"You cause you know being old I need help washing my back"
For fuck sakes
