If Kratos didn't know better he would have thought that the person standing in front of him was his younger self. But after taking a second and quickly blinking he sees that it was his oldest son Y/n.

Y/n: Hello father.

Kratos:(Nods) Son.

Y/n: It seems we have to fight each other.

Kratos crossed his arms over his chest as he stands there looking at his son.

Kratos: I do not want to fight you son.

Y/n looks at the crowd as they all wait to see who will make the first move, he then looks back his father and shrugs his shoulders. Y/n knows that his father was stronger then he is. So if he was gonna come out the winner, he was gonna have to rely on his other skills.

Y/n: If I'm being honest, I want to fight you.

Kratos: Boy.

Y/n: Come on, father. Just think of it as a spar. Besides we kind of have to anyways.

Kratos knew that they didn't have to fight. The both of them could easily rip these disks off their necks and work together to take out the Grandmaster. But Kratos decided to give his oldest son what he wanted. Plus if Kratos was being honest with himself, he enjoyed sparring with Y/n. Kratos then got into a fighting stance.

Kratos: Very well. Show me what you got, son.

Y/n:(Nods) You got it father.

Y/n and Kratos begin to walk in a circle as they both waiting for someone to make a move, Y/n makes his move as he ice slides towards Kratos, Kratos side steps the slide. He then lunches forward towards Y/n to try and punch him, Y/n reacts quickly and using his ice powers makes a ice clone and rolls out of the way of the punch.

Once Kratos' punch hit the ice clone it shatters but it also left Kratos frozen in place covered by a layer of ice. Y/n uses this opening to hit Kratos with an uppercut, breaking the layer of ice that cover him as well as launching him into the air. Y/n then forms an ice wall behind him, then grabs Kratos by his ankle, does an 180 and throws Kratos through the ice wall.

Kratos gets up and was quick to react and pop his shield in time to block Y/n's punch. The punch hits the shield and a loud ringing could be heard throughout the arena. Y/n grabs the shield with both hand to move it out of the way. This leaves Y/n open and Kratos sends a kick that connects with Y/n's chest and sends him sliding backwards.

Y/n rushes towards his father once more, this time throwing a combo of punches, which Kratos either dodged or redirected. Kratos then catches Y/n's right hand and started to move his arm to the side. Y/n started to cover his left hand in ice, Y/n then headbutts Kratos, which snaps his neck back. Y/n seeing an opening, he hits Kratos flush on the jaw with his ice covered fist. The ice shatters on impact, Kratos lets go of Y/n's right hand and stumbles back a few feet.

Kratos rubs his jaw and spits out a tooth. He then looks at Y/n and with speed Y/n wasn't ready for, Kratos punches him hard in his solar plexus. Y/n falls to his knees as he gasp for air as even with his armor on, the punch was still hard enough to knock the wind out of him. Kratos stands over his son.

Kratos: Stay down, boy.

After catching his breath, Y/n starts to stand back up while letting out a chuckle while also covering both of his fist with ice.
