A/n: This chapter is a little different as Y/n, Lady Sif or Freya are not in this chapter. The reason is because Y/n and Lady Sif are taking some time away from being Avengers so they didn't suit up for this mission.As to why Freya isn't on this mission, well that will be explained at a later time. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this chapter. Now on to the story.
Location- Lagos.
Wanda can be seen seated at a little cafe, she then takes a sugar pack, rips it open and pours it into her cup. She then stirs it before taking a drink. Sitting across from her is Atreus who is enjoying a cup of tea. Just then Steve can be heard on the Comms.
Steve:(Comm) All right, what do you see?
Wanda:(Comm) Standard beat cops. Small station. Quiet street. It's a good target.
Steve:(Comm) There's an ATM on the south corner, which means?
Atreus: (Comm) Cameras.
Steve:(Comm) Both cross streets are one-way.
Sitting at a table a few feet away from Wanda and Atreus is the son and daughter of the god and goddess of war, Deimos and Kassandra.
Deimos:(Comm) So, compromised escape routes.
Steve:(Comm) Means our guy doesn't care about being seen. He isn't afraid to make a mess on the way out. You guys see that Range Rover halfway up the block?
Kassandra:(Comm) Yeah, the red one? It's cute.
Wanda:(Comm) Agreed.
We then see Pietro and Natasha sitting two tables from Wanda.
Natasha:(Comm) It's also bulletproof, which means private security, which means more guns, which means more headaches for somebody. Probably us.
Wanda:(Comm) You guys know I can move things with my mind, right?
Pietro:(Comm) And I'm super fast.
Kassandra:(Comm) So am I, but that doesn't matter much if you don't know how to watch your back or aware of your surroundings.
Natasha:(Comm) Kassandra is right. Looking over your shoulder needs to become second nature.
Atreus:(Comm) As my father once said. "Expect the worst. Assume nothing. And always anticipate an attack."
Natasha:(Comm) Your father is a smart man, Atreus.
Sam:(Comm) Anybody ever tell you you're a little paranoid?
Natasha:(Comm) Not to my face. Why? Did you hear something?
Steve:(Comm) Eyes on target, folks. This is the best lead we've had on Rumlow in six months. I don't want to lose him.
Sam:(Comm) If he sees us coming, that won't be a problem. He kind of hates us.
Steve looks out his hotel window and sees that a garbage truck is pushing its way through traffic, not caring if it hits any cars.
Steve:(Comm) Sam, see that garbage truck? Tag it.
A small drone launches from Sam's Falcon jet pack and files down to scan the garbage truck.
Sam: (To the drone) Give me X-ray.
The Drone give Sam an X-ray look through the truck and while at the same time, the drone tells Sam that the truck is at max capacity and that the driver is armed.
