Xiao, Lumine, and Paimon exited the ship. The trip back from Inazuma lasted two days and the three of them were exhausted because of the countless parties held on the Crux each night. When they reached Liyue, a crowd on the dock cheered for them. Even though the crowd didn't quite know what they were cheering about, the saviors of Liyue had returned, so it was enough to rejoice. Lumine waved to everyone as she stepped onto the docks, her other hand linked to Xiao's. They passed the crowd swiftly and left for the Wangshu Inn. The three spoke with The Boss Lady for a moment before heading to the balcony to rest for a while.
Lumine sighed. "We're gonna need a place to stay. You got any ideas, Paimon?"
"Oh, let Paimon think.... Oh! Remember what Madam Ping told us about the teapot?"
"I completely forgot we had that." Lumine laughed. "Xiao, would you like to stay with us?"
Xiao nodded, feeling happier about it than he let on. They got permission from the boss to have the teapot set up in one of the hotel's rooms.
"Of course! We always have a room open for Xiao that he never uses. I'll give you the key."
Lumine set the teapot in the vacant room and the three entered in. They arrived and spoke to Tubby, who led them inside the empty mansion.
"Wow, we need some furniture to put here. Especially some kitchen supplies, or else Paimon might starve!" Paimon said, her voice echoing through the empty halls.
"I have plenty of materials to get us started, but it won't be enough for the three of us to comfortably stay here."
"Also, Xiao," she said as she faced him. "Would you like your room?"
Xiao's face turned red at the thought of sleeping in the same room as Lumine. When Lumine spoke, he stood there, calculating every possible scenario, even ones he wouldn't admit to.
"I'm guessing that's a no." She mumbled. Her face turning shades of pink.
As Paimon looked between the two, he smiled knowingly. "OK, I'm gonna go to talk to Tubby. See you guys later."
Paimon floated away and the two stood, being awkwardly silent.
"I- uhm... I can get out and collect materials...What do we need?" Xiao offered.
"We would need Tubby's list of materials to know. Let's go."
The two walked out to find Paimon actively designing a kitchen with Tubby. They interrupted their conversation to help design the rest of the rooms and headed out to gather the necessary materials. The three spent the rest of the day building furniture and creating the right place to call home.
