Jimmy screamed bloody murder at the top of his lungs. Tears filled his eyes as he started sobbing uncontrollably.

The guard stepped back in confusion as Jimmy held Scott tightly.

"WAKE UP!!!" Jimmy shouted through pained sobs, "WAKE UP!!!!" Bdubs ran towards them throwing the guard out of the way.

"Scott!" He shouted, "no, no, no, no this can't be it! This can't be happening!"

Jimmy tried to focus all his energy on healing the stab wound but it wasn't working.

"Why won't it work!?" Jimmy cried, still sobbing, "why can't I fucking heal him!!!" He had never gotten to tell him.

That was the biggest reason why he had stayed with Scott for so long, why he had volunteered to be captured by the humans, and all of that for nothing.

"Scott!!! Oh no this isn't good" Martin muttered running over to him.

Jimmy could sense the chaos and havoc end as everyone came to realize what had befallen on the creature.

Skizz was crying on another soldier's shoulder as Etho tried to comfort him. This couldn't be how their story ended. With Jimmy heartbroken and Scott dead. This couldn't be how the page ended with Jimmy attending Scott's funeral.

This wasn't how it was supposed to be.

This didn't feel right.

By all the gods what felt right was Scott waking up and hugging Jimmy!

Not whatever twisted fairytale this was.

Jimmy sobbed long and hard for the world to hear.

Soon the sun rose over the horizon, all the fighting was forgotten, and then a voice.

"Give him to me Jimmy"

Jimmy looked up to see The Shadow Queen Lizzie, blood staining her clothes but still imposing as ever.

"Please don't make me burry him" Jimmy whimpered as Lizzie leaned down

"I wasn't going to do that, now please, give him to me."

Jimmy turned away as he handed Scott over to the woman who'd allowed them a real home despite them attacking her people.

There were gasps from both humans and creatures alike, and Jimmy turned to see Lizzie fading in and out of visibility.

"My Queen!" Ren shouted although he made no move to stop the monarch.

Jimmy noticed that Scott's body was glowing more and more as Lizzie faded. "Wow" Bdubs breathed. It was strangely beautiful, Lizzie was dying yes, but there was something about it that was just, amazingly beautiful.

Slowly Lizzie faded away permanently, and Scott stopped glowing.

Jimmy stared in shock as Scott's chest rose and fell.

He breathed again.

Scott slowly opened his eyes and Jimmy was filled with overwhelming joy as the cyan haired man that had captured his heart stood up alive and well.

Tears of joy slid down Jimmy's cheeks and he scooped Scott up in a big tight hug.

"Oof-h-hey Jimmy" Scott greeted, "you're alive!" Jimmy cried and Scott chuckled, "I guess I am"

Cheers filled Jimmy's ears as both humans and creatures celebrated Scott's return to the living.

Jimmy saw a girl only three-years-old pulling her mom along and pointing at Scott.

"My, my isn't this a moment" Martin commented and Jimmy nodded, it was a moment, even though Lizzie had given up her life for Scott, she would never be forgotten as her sacrifice was what ultimately brought these two species together for the first time in history.

And this felt right.
