Hospital beds. I hate them. I always have. Ever since... ever since. They make me sick. Talk about hospitals making you feel better. Sam was sitting next to me, reading. Suddenly, a knock sounded at the door. Sam smiled at me.

"I'll get it," she said. I rolled my eyes.

"No, you stay there. I'll get it," I thought sarcastically. Sam opened the door. The first person I saw was Tod. Tod was surprised to see Sam, Ruth was shocked to see Daniel, Sam was surprised to see Daniel, Daniel was surprised to see Ruth, I was surprised to see Daniel, and Tod was surprised to see me.

"Shouldn't you be in jail?" he asked.

"Why should I be in jail?" I asked in return. Ruth looked at Daniel.

"Stay away from me. I saw what you did to Sam!" she said.

"Yeah, shouldn't you be in jail?" Sam asked him. Daniel looked confused.

"Shouldn't you be in jail, Ruth?" he asked.

               "Me? No, you--"

"Shouldn't you be dead?!" Tod yelled at Sam, shocked. Sam looked at Tod, then at everyone else.

"Okay, what did you guys see? Rodriguez first," she said.

"I saw Daniel try to shoot you, Sam," I told her.

"I saw Daniel harass Sam," Ruth said. "I had no idea anyone was getting shot here."

"Okay, I saw Rodriguez get shot, and Ruth ran away," Daniel said.

"I got video footage from Sam. The video was blurry, though. I couldn't see." Tod mentioned.

"I just blamed the first person I saw, Daniel, but the rest of you have bad eyesight. So I saw someone," Sam told us.

"I thought Rodriguez shot Sam," Tod said.

"No, I did not." I retorted.

"Then Sam shot Rodriguez!" Tod assumed.

"NO," Sam and I said together, annoyed.

"Who shot who then?!" Tod asked.

"Maybe it was Sam," Daniel said.

"I just said it was not Sam. All I know is that someone shot me. I don't know who it is; we have no reason to blame each other. That's not what friends do. Friends also don't shoot each other with real bullets, so I assume it wasn't any of you. Now it hurts to talk, so I need everyone to leave." I coughed to confirm this. Everyone left the room. The people who shot me were some of my friends. Two of them were lying.
