Summary:Katsuki was sick, his skin itched, his palms burned, and his heart stops.
or,
what if Katsuki Bakugos heart stopped before the time was right?
~
the words slip out from his lips like a fountain – flowing and unceasing.
“I want to kill myself.”
even with how distraught his teacher's face looked, he felt himself smack his lips with a satisfied buzz. yeah, that sounded about right.

Aizawa blinked as he stepped closer to Bakugo, like he couldn't believe what the boy had just said. his hand subconsciously reaching up to his scarf.
“Bakugo,” his speech had been louder than he had intended.
the aforementioned simply rested a hand on his hip, “that's my name.” voice surprisingly unperturbed, as if what he had previously admitted wasn't the last thing the Pro Hero expected the blond to say, especially in such a nonchalant way.
Bakugo cracked a small smile, scoffing. “it was a joke. jeez,” his voice was uncomfortably monotonous, “I swear, you old people can't take a joke nowadays!" he said, barking out a raspy laugh. “have some humour!”
as suddenly as he spoke, he walked out the classroom door, smirk unbroken as he left his teacher to ponder in silence.
(clearly, it wasn't a joke.)
Katsuki liked to think he had a sick sense of humour, he'd laugh at death scenes in movies when the character made a funny face before or after they died, he'd make dumbass jokes about putting himself in dangerous or even life threatening situations with a tone that sounded as if he was telling a fart pun. sometimes he'd get a nervous laugh out of someone, other times he'd get a single blink and silence. he preferred the second one. he'd rather his humour get acknowledged as sickening than his humour get encouraged. it made more sense for others to act as he expected them to, so he'd do certain things just to get a predictable outcome or reaction out of others to raise his ego a bit.
Deku tends to be the former, he'd laugh nervously and grin like an idiot as if Katsuki had told one of those really unfunny jokes your dad says at family gatherings.
12:57p.m.
the cafeteria was in his sights, but that wasn't what he was searching for.
a quick scan within the Lunch Rush area and Katsuki was out. not a single student or staff member even partially acknowledged his entrance to the space, nor did they notice his departure.
he walked further down the hall, the more he sped the less people he'd see 'til he reached the lower west staircase, a place where nearly none of the students ever visited.
