Fluttering my perfectly manicured nails, I peered out of the airplane window, my heart brimming with excitement. The clouds glided past like whispers of dreams, and a surge of anticipation washed over me. This was it—the moment I had been dreaming of for so long. Today marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life, as I embarked on an adventure that would change everything.

For years, I've poured my heart and soul into creating content and sharing my life, passions, and adventures with my incredible online family. And I have Cal to thank for that.

Growing up in Scotland, my dynamic with Cal's family was incredibly special. When my family moved from Manchester, we became neighbours, and that's when our bond began to form. My older brother, Jake, happened to be the same age as Cal, which made them instant friends. As a result, Cal became like an older brother to me, always looking out for me. Our families were practically inseparable, spending summers together having backyard barbecues, enjoying chaotic pub nights, and cheering on our favourite football teams. Even when Cal moved to London, we remained closely connected, bridging the physical distance through constant communication and frequent visits.

As the plane descended, I caught my first glimpse of the sprawling cityscape. I couldn't help but smile, feeling a rush of anticipation surge through my veins. This was where I was meant to be.

Stepping off the plane, I inhaled deeply, letting the crisp London air fill my lungs. It felt like a fresh start, a blank canvas on which I could paint new memories and experiences.

Ever since Cal had heard of my moving down, he was beyond excited. He told me about all of his friends, his apartment, and the best clubs in London. He insisted on driving me to the hotel, not taking no for an answer. Cal was always like that—persistent, but in the best way possible.

I sent him a quick message just to let him know that I'd be a couple of minutes late, and he replied almost instantly.

Val
Hey, the airport is packed. Might be five, sorry!

Cal
Just push them down the escalators x

Val
Awh you'd let me push people just so I can see you faster? x

Cal
Fine take your time, I am definitely in no rush to see your stupid face.

I laughed at his response, I was lucky enough that me and him shared the same banter.

With my Chanelle suitcase in hand, I walked through the bustling airport, a smile playing on my lips. This was the start of something extraordinary, a journey filled with endless possibilities. As Cal pulled up in his sleek black car, a wide grin spread across his face.

"Ew it's you"

I laughed, feeling a surge of energy. "I've missed you too"

Our drive through the bustling streets was accompanied by upbeat tunes blasting through the speakers. We sang along at the top of our lungs, not caring about the curious looks we received from people driving by.

"I'm only human, can't you see?
I made, I made a mistake
Please just look me in my face
Tell me everything's okay
'Cause I got it
Ooh, he'll never be like you"

Cal and I had always shared a love for music, and it was one of the many things that bonded us so closely.

As I prepared to make my move to London, Cal surprised me with the news that he and his roommate, had a spare room in their apartment. Callux had recently moved out, creating an opportunity for me to have a temporary home until I found a place of my own. Cal insisted that it was no bother and that I was more than welcome to stay with them. It was a gesture that touched my heart and made me feel incredibly grateful for his friendship.

However, as the car was now pulling up into the garage of the apartment complex, a wave of nervousness washed over me. I couldn't help but worry about intruding on Cal's living space and meeting his friends. I didn't want to be a burden or disrupt their routines. I had always valued my independence and was hesitant to rely too much on others. But Cal reassured me time and time again that it was not a bother at all. He assured me that his friends were open and welcoming, eager to meet the person he spoke so highly of.

Cal kindly helped me with my suitcases, effortlessly maneuvering them through the lobby and towards the elevator. It was only a brief moment before we reached their floor. Cal stepped out first, and made his way to their room, unlocking and holding the door open for me.

I followed closely behind, my eyes scanning the surroundings. It was a modern and cozy apartment, with a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Walking further into the apartment, my gaze fell upon a guy standing at the kitchen island. He had dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, complimented with a friendly smile.

I took a deep breath to calm my nerves and extended my hand towards him.

"Hi, I'm Valentina," I introduced myself with a smile

He returned the smile, "Hey, nice to meet you, Valentina. I'm Harry," he replied, his voice friendly and welcoming.
