The anticipation for the upcoming festival buzzed in the air, and with just a few days left before we hit Leeds, I knew it was time to get my festival outfits sorted. Determined to make a statement for each night, I decided to dedicate my morning to perfecting the songs in the studio before embarking on a shopping spree for the perfect festival outfits. I invited Tobi to join me, as he was the only one left without his outfit, and he happily agreed.

After a productive morning in the studio, I felt a sense of accomplishment as I wrapped up my work on the songs. With a quick text to Tobi, we met up and headed to various stores, some of which turned out to be amusing disasters.

Our first stop was a quirky thrift store that promised eccentric finds. Tobi and I dove into the racks, pulling out outrageously mismatched pieces and proposing them to each other with exaggerated seriousness. We held up garish shirts, ridiculous hats, and absurd accessories, playing a game of who could create the most outrageous festival outfit.

"Imagine us rocking these in the crowd," Tobi exclaimed, holding up a neon-green wig and oversized sunglasses.

I burst into laughter, matching his enthusiasm. "We'd be the talk of the festival, that's for sure"

We tried on the most comically mismatched outfits, taking selfies to immortalize our fashion escapades. Tobi sported a bright Hawaiian shirt paired with leopard-print leggings, while I donned a sequined cape with bell-bottom pants. We looked absolutely ridiculous, but that was the entire point.

As we tried on the outfits, we couldn't stop laughing at each other's appearances. Struggling to hold back giggles, we posed dramatically, pretending we were on a catwalk, showcasing our "unique" fashion sense. Passersby gave us amused glances, clearly entertained by our antics.

Eventually, after trying on countless options, I settled on three distinct outfits. One was flashy, adorned with sequins and vibrant colors. The second was more casual, comfortable yet stylish, suitable for the laid-back vibe of a festival.

Lunch came next, and we found a cozy spot to enjoy our meal. Amidst bites of food, Tobi shared his recent experiences with a girl he'd met.

"Val," Tobi said, looking up, quite serious.

"Tobi"

"I need your advice on a girl I've recently met," He said.

"Hit me" I smiled.

"Well it's really new so I'm not telling the boys just yet, but I'm not sure if she wants to be more than friends. One minute we're flirting but the next she's quite distant" He expressed.

"To me, It sounds like she may be scared off either not wanting to ruin the friendship or honestly, she could be leading you on. But before making any assumptions I would definitely talk to her, it's better to get these things out of the way so you're both on the same wavelength, you know? I said truthfully.

"Do you think it would scare her off if I brought this up?" He asked.

"Personally, I would admire it but I can't speak for every girl because everyone is different. But i think if it's bothering you, It's best to speak on these things." I smiled

"Thank you, Val, I really mean that"

As the afternoon waned, we bid each other goodbye and made our way back home. Once inside, I changed into my comfortable joggers, ready to unwind for the evening. I headed outside for our nightly smoke session with Harry, the routine we had come to cherish.

Under the starlit sky, Harry and I settled into our usual spot. The chill in the night air made me shiver, prompting Harry to notice.

"You cold?" he questioned.

"Just a little bit, I'll run inside and grab a jumper actually," I said, about to get up.

"No, no, It's okay, take mine," He said, smiling.

Wrapped in the warmth of his hoodie, we continued our conversation, discussing how we could make our smoking area cozier for the future.

"I reckon, instead of sitting on the floor we got some cool bean bags, a table with an ashtray, and maybe even some blankets and fairy lights." He said.

"Only if my beanbag is pink" I laughed.

We spent a bit longer outside, lost in the tranquility of the night, enjoying each other's presence. As we finally retreated indoors, I couldn't help but appreciate the friendship I had found with Harry. It was a connection built on genuine conversations, shared laughter, and simple moments of warmth.

In the comfort of my room, wearing Harry's jumper, I reflected on the day. The excitement for the festival bubbled within me. With a smile on my lips, I drifted off to sleep.
