Paintbrush POV
"You don't hate me." "Trust me Lightbulb, I do," I responded. "Anyways, I need to pack so that I can go ho- well I can't even go there anymore." I sat angrily on the couch. "Y'know," Lightbulb started, sitting next to me. "My house is still on the table!""I've only known you for a week at most, I would be living with you and your family for like 2 or 3 weeks. What if I'm some gang member or worse?" "Wellll, are you?" "I- No.." "So get packing!" Lightbulb stood up and ran to her room, bumping into a nearby wall on the way. I sighed. Maybe this won't be so bad?
-
"I'll drive us there!" Lightbulb said, walking towards a car that is obviously not hers. "Yeahh no. You can't drive and you don't have your license. And that's not even your car." "That hasn't stopped me before!" "No." "Please?" "No." "Pretty please?" "No." "Soooo you don't want to me to?" "No.. wait, yes?" "YES??" "Lightbulb, no."
Lightbulb whined and walked away from the car. "Why not??" "I literally just said why. Let's just take the train." Lightbulb pouted and crossed her arms. "You're so unfair sometimes, Painty." She sighed, walking to the train station. "If being unfair is not getting into a car accident, then I'd rather be 'unfair'."
"You sound like Testy. Stop being so.. impediment." "It's intelligent." "Same difference!" I rolled my eyes at her nonsense as we continued walking. "Wait," I said, as I stopped walking. "Didn't you take a bus to get here? Why are we taking the train?"
"I took the bus from my friends place who lives a few blocks away from here. Me and Kumquat go wayy back!" "How did you get to your friends place if.. y'know what, I'm not even gonna ask." We made it to the train station and waited (surprisingly) quietly for the train to come.
Lightbulb took out her phone at one point. It looked like she was texting someone..? When the train came Lightbulb dragged me inside and sat in a window seat. I sat next to her since I would be more uncomfortable with a random stranger.
"Sooo, Painty," Lightbulb said as I give the train worker (I don't really know what their called) our tickets. "Hm?" "Do you like macaroni and cheese or steak?" "Why are you asking me?" "Baxter just wanted to know," Baxter, who had seemed to popped out of nowhere, climbed on her head.
"Um, I guess macaroni. Steak tastes a bit weird to me." Lightbulb took out her phone again and started typing. "Anddd would you rather apple juice or orange juice?" I was a bit suspicious but answered anyway. "I'd rather have lemonade." "Thanks!" She typed on her phone again before putting it away.
"What was that for?" Lightbulb jumped a bit, seeming a little flustered. "J-Just something I needed to take care of! Don't worry about it!" I cocked my eyebrow. "If you say so.." "Anyways, what's your favorite Dreamworks movie?" "Probably Shrek. I find it quite funny." "Wanna watch it?" Lightbulb asked pulling out her iPad and headphones. "Sure."
-
After we finished Shrek, I listened to music on my phone while Lightbulb looked out the window. "How far is your house? It should be the same distance as mine right?" "My house was on the east side of town, yours was on the west. It's about 4 hours from now."
