Chapter 15: Communication is key.

Despite knowing he would have to deal with it sooner or later, Alban still found it uncomfortable. Just a few minutes ago, it was only Ike and him in this room, all alone, and they could talk about whatever they wanted, like what they should do next, what they should tell the others, and so on. But now, things had changed, especially with his friends all surrounding him like this. He still felt the pain all over his body, but yet that wasn't the worst pain. What was worse than that was he had to find an alibi or some kind of excuse to get him out of this situation.

He tried to glance over to the certain novelist, asking for some help. Unfortunately, Ike shook his head, it was Alban's problem from now on, he had tried his best to help him. While they were still talking earlier, Uki's mother instinct came up. Uki just ran in, barely catching his breath while looking at the brunette sitting in his bed with a shocked expression. The solution hadn't come up, yet, he had to deal with it right now, all by himself.

"So, Albany. Mind if you tell us what happened to make you disappear for 5 f*cking days, AND then f*cking appeared again by THROWING YOUR A** through the WINDOW, on the 5th FLOOR!?" Alban's body tensed up at Uki's cold look on him. He was folding his hand and tapping his finger repeatedly, which was already showing how mad his friend was. What should I say!? We haven't thought about this part yet! Alban kept glancing everywhere instead of his friend's eyes. If he looked right now, the proportion of ruining this would be 100%. 

Ike also tried to maintain himself, if his worries show on his face right now, their plan will all be ruined. That was when Katy decided to be a savior for the two poor boys. She stood up and jumped down the bed, but 'unintentionally' pressed her foot on Alban's arm. This made Alban wince in pain. Uki started to drop his seriousness and came straight to Alban with no hesitation. 

"Are you okay!? Bad kitty, why did you do that to your master!?" Uki held Alban's arm to check if there were any other injuries despite Alban's repeating 'I'm okay! I'm fine!' Alban shook his head and smiled lightly. Maybe that's her way of nagging me for doing stupid things. Still, he was thankful for what Katy just did, this did get him out of trouble for a while. "You're not well yet Alban, take a rest. Meanwhile, everyone, can you help me a little?" Shu said, at least this was what they can do for the boy lying on the bed right now. They all decided to help Shu with repairing Alban's house after all those messes.

Seeing his friends here and helping him with all the messes without any further questions, Alban could, at last, feel safe about his own priorities now. He was glad they didn't ask after Katy's rescue because he knew that he may be in considerable trouble without her. But what irritated him, was Sonny's behavior towards him. He was gone for 5 days, and the boy didn't show any worries on his face at all, just kind of having those blank stares at whatever the heck that wasn't Alban. It was a cruel joke, it hurts him, but it didn't hurt Sonny, it was like all of his attempts to free himself from this lovey-dovey thing were just nothing. 

Ike being the person who was kinda in the same boat as Alban, started to pat Alban's hand, bringing him some sense of comfort which make the latter feel much better. He whispered small gentle words to the brunette in order to make sure no one was eavesdropping on them."You have me, don't worry. I'll support your decision, Alban. We're on the same page, after all." Alban smiled at Ike's hand slowly rubbing his palm, assuring Alban what he said was right. 

However, shortly after that, he earned a sharp glare from the novelist as well."Still, don't. Do stupid things ever again. Got it? I'll be very mad if you do that." Alban just giggled, it was confirmed that this was a really reckless idea. But getting attention and being taken care of by his friends? He would probably consider doing it more than once, but of course, he'll keep this mindset to himself. Ike just sighed, at least Alban's smile was back, seeing his friends sad and unmotivated somewhat affected him too. Sadly, Alban then brought the old smile again just like when Ike met him under the cold rain that night. It didn't bring him any sense of comfort, instead, it was a sad, pitiful smile like he was trying to push himself to move forward, away from the pain he had, both physically and mentally.
