The Happiest Ending

I pull away from Tallahassee once I hear a little voice and the door open.

I turn around and see my 3 year old son running up to me.

"Hello, my little monkey" I smile and put my hands out

I quickly pick him up then place him on my hip.

"Hey kiddo! Whatcha you doing?" Tal stands from the bed and asks

"There are some monsters in the back yard so Sissy told me to come find you"

Tal becomes slightly nervous and shifts in place

"Do they need help?"

He shakes his head vigorously.

Both me and Tal smile and laugh while I move some of his blonde locks out of his face.

"Are you sure?" Tal asks

He nods his head multiple times

"Ok well" Tal cups his face and kisses his forehead

He starts to walk away and open the bedroom door.

"I'm gonna go check on 'em alright?" He turns his head and tells me

"Be safe, yeah?"

"Always" he smiles then leaves

"What were you doing before the monsters came?"

I ask and start walking out of the room too while still holding s/n

*s/n = sons name*

"Me and sissy were looking at rock's"

"For your rock collection?"

He nods his head then lays it on my shoulder. I smile and kiss the top of his head.

"Have you eaten breakfast yet? Are you hungry?"

"Yeah"

"Yeah what?" I chuckle

"I'm hungry. Tia was gwonna make us breakfwest but then the monsters cwame"

I chuckle and start walking to the kitchen.

"What do you want?"

He suddenly lifts his head fast.

"Can I have bueberry waffels??" He says excitedly

"Of course bud. Daddy went and got more since we know you love them so much" I smile and boop his nose

He grins and wiggles his legs excitedly.

I set him down on one of the kitchen table's chair's and laugh.

"Ok ok relax or I'm gonna drop you" I joke

He stays standing and puts his hands on the table. His head was just a few inches above the table.

I walk over to the fridge and open the freezer then pull out a waffle box.
