Jungkook hung his gray blazer on the coat rack that was placed on the right of the door. He walked inside his office, followed by the careful steps of Yejun. Letting out a groan, he let his body rest on the wide chair behind his crystal desk. When looking up at his man, he was aware of that beige folder he saw on the passenger's seat when he picked him up at the club. He was no clairvoyant, but he didn't need Yejun to speak to know what was inside of it.
—So? —he finally sighed, resting his back on the backrest.
It had been a long day, Jungkook wanted the information in front of him as soon as possible, so he could decide what to do next.
—As expected, she keeps working in the club —Yejun placed the folder carefully in front of his boss—. She was pictured getting off the bus she usually takes and walking inside through the back door.
Jungkook saw the pictures that were taken of her, when Yejun opened the folder for him. There was nothing interesting in those pictures though. She was just walking the street, covering her head -and part of her face- with the hood of her sweater jacket as she headed inside the club, mixed with some others of her living her daily life. It was curious how she was barely seen outside. And when she was, she wasn't with anyone.
—What about it? —Jungkook asked, looking up again— I told Pedro she could work as a waitress if she wanted to —he shrugged.
Clearly, he knew there was more to it. The nervous look on Yejun's black eyes was very telling, and how he stuttered to go on -because of his possible reaction-, made him aware that what was to come wasn't good. But unlike what Yejun thought, it was pretty good for him.
—Our informant inside the club told me she isn't working as a waitress exactly —Yejun whispered—. Apparently she was told by Y/n herself that she got on an agreement with Pedro to retake her usual duties. The only thing she isn't doing is pole dances.
Yejun was expecting one of Jungkook's deathly looks that could make the most powerful man feel sorry for existing. But instead, his boss licked his lips while he grinned. It was the typical smirk on his face, that only showed up when everything went on as he planned.
—How trustworthy is the informant?
Jungkook kept looking through the pictures of the woman he knew wouldn't be easy to handle. Pictures were taken on different days, but she was wearing a similar outfit -if not the same- on each one of them.
—She's close to Y/n, apparently —Yejun mentioned—. And she also has been working in the club for a really long time. She has no reason to lie, she wouldn't be benefitted.
Jungkook shook his head in disgust. Y/n definitely had to find better people to surround herself with, and to trust. It was mind-blowing the amount of people that would be willing to air out information for no reason -like her nosy neighbors-, or in exchange of some extra money -like that coworker that gave Yejun all the information on her hand.
He was going to change that soon.
The look of satisfaction on Jungkook's face didn't disappear, it only evolved into a machiavellian and calculating expression due to his own thoughts about people.
And he wasn't wrong.
He knew people were greedy. The more they got, the more they'd want. And that girl was no different from all those people. He knew he wouldn't be able to have any control on her and her body the second he took that flight to Seoul. He was sure she'd fall back to the same hole he was going to take her out from. He didn't expect her to be drawn back to it so fast. Jungkook thought it'd take her a few weeks, maybe months to do something like that, but it was a matter of days.
