Y/n waited, arms crossed while her legs hung over the edge of the bed. Being told that Jungkook was behind all those people moving to take her out of that abandoned warehouse gave her mixed feelings. She was happy to hear he was the one behind it all, to know that he still cared about her enough to look after her. But guilt also showed up whenever she remembered his father's words, and how he didn't show the slightest hesitation. The fact that he involved himself in all that mess only meant that he'd have a red dot aiming right at his head.
The hours passed by slowly after Jimin told her that Jungkook was on his way to where she was, with his plane landing in Mallorca in the next few hours. She wasn't sure how to react, or what to do, when she saw him for the first time. She didn't even know what his attitude would be when he showed up. She just didn't know what she'd feel when he crossed the door and stepped inside her room.
Was she supposed to hug him? Kiss him? Slap him?
Jungkook was certainly in that same stage, wondering how he was expected to act after sending her away for no reason. When Jimin sent him a text, telling him how everything turned out the right way, he also made sure to add how annoyed and angry Y/n was. He knew her, he knew what she was capable of when rage clouded her mind. She wasn't able to think straight, and jumped to the first action her emotions threw her to. She could easily be trying to sneak away, and at the same time she could be crying in one corner of her room while she waited for him.
He didn't get any sleep, he wasn't even comfortable, but her body felt light once the jet landed in the airport. It was as if seeing her was the only motivation he actually needed to get his system to work properly. Every person he came across lowered their gaze, avoiding to make eye contact with him -just in case their looks could be mistakenly perceived as a challenge or a threat.
Everybody knew how delicate the situation was, even if they didn't know the whole story. Rumors flew faster than he was able to control them. Soon everyone knew there was a new enemy, and that someone would be accused of helping them at the minimum sign.
A tall caucasian man, with a short beard turned to him as soon as he was aware of his presence, a wide nervous smile trying to hide the fact of how scared he actually was of being in front of him at that moment.
—Mr. Jeon...
—Where is she?
The young boy licked his lips nervously, pointing to the narrow and long street that was behind him. When looking over his shoulder, Jungkook noticed there were many houses, with a maximum of three floors, at least in a distance his eyes allowed him to see.
—Number thirteen, sir —he informed, aware of what Jungkook was looking at—. Mr. Park told us to watch the surroundings rather than the house...
—Okay. Make sure no one approaches the area —looking him up and down, he raised his eyebrow—, and try not to attract attention. Ujin —he called the name that had been watching his back all the way from Seoul to Spain—, look around and make sure nothing weird happens.
He tried to make sure everything around that area would be safe for the both of them, but especially for her. Hiding himself on that confident facade, he tried to make less obvious how nervous he actually was of seeing her. His beating was loud and fast, aiming to destroy his rib cage with every step he took inside the house, almost able to see her through that shiny white door.
What he didn't know is that his alert had to be higher inside the safe place.
His heart squeezed on his chest when he was forced to move his body down, dodging the object that was thrown to his head as soon as he opened the door and stepped inside her room.
