Giants in New York

Chapter 6

Finally,after walking a few more miles,they had entered a normal soft grassy field  filled with beautiful scenery and a nice breeze.What was going on the boy wondered. First the view was nice and the weather's cold then the view was  very plain; and now this was just right.At first he thought maybe he was back in New York, but seeing no buildings or cars or people he knew that he was far from there.
Soon he came upon a village and looking at the sign he saw it said " Grimville". Entering it and looking around; Sky  saw no sign of life anywhere.Walking around he was mesmerized by the cool star shaped clay house. that he thought were pretty out of this world.As he patrolled the area for living organisms Sky tried  saying hello but nobody answered. Just as he was about to try again he was alarmed by a strangely  familiar voice calling his name. Curious and scared, the boy walked towards the voice.

As the sound grew louder and louder the boy's heart started to beat as fast as a cheetah. When I stopped; the boy looked around for  who was calling his name.However, no one was there. Just as he was about to turn  around to he'd home he heard footsteps approaching and then a man appeared and slowly walked toward him. After introducing himself he told Skytofollow him. The man led Sky to what looked like the center of the town. There he saw other people standing in  a semicircle. One of the ladies there looked very familiar.She was short and had short brown hair and green eyes just like her aunt had.After asking her, the lady confirmed that it was his aunt. Skys aunt was a food scientist and since he Knew  that she was on vacation with her other science partners, he figured the other people were them. Looking closely at themñ he could quickly tell who the other ones were. The other girl was Maddison Armstrong who was in Skys grade and was in some of his classes. She was also an astronomer. The tall buff man standing next to him wasCalvin Smith. He was an animal scientist.  Finally, the tall man standing to the left of his aunt, Lucas Heartman, was a botanist.  While seeing them here was great he quickly started to wonder how they had arrived here if there were no vehicles anywhere here.. After asking this to them Skys Aunt told them that on the day of their tripñ their boss had made a potion that sent them here and turned them into Giants.

Hearing that they had been turned into Giants the boy laughed because they looked like they were the exact same height.Now he thought that they must drank some kind of pill or same height  or air in this new place was messing up their minds.Sensing that he didn't believe her, Skys aunt had Calvin walk out of the town with Sky to show him.when they arrived at the entrance to the town Madison stepped out of it and as she  did she instantly  grew  as tall as a giraffe. Seeing this the boy couldn't believe it.  As they walked back to see the others the boy asked the man how that was possible and started to feel really bad for them. He could feel his heart sink. Calvin then told him that the town prevents them from turning into Giants but if they step out of it they become Giants.Arriving back at the center of the town Sky apologizes to them for having to live up here permanently. He then said he wished there was something he could do to help.

  The aunt then told him that that's why she had  brought him here. Putting this together; Sky figured out that was his aunts voice that was calling his name.”Then he was confused and started to wonder,”How her   voice   was able to c carry from so far away,”Ignoring this;Sky then asked her who's shadow he was following, and Lucas said that she sent him to lead him here. Sky’s Aunt then  told him that they needed him  to get potions from their lab to turn them back to normal.  Then she went on to tell him that Sky was the only one who could retrieve all their potions from their lab room,and bring it back to them since he would be able to go to New York (without causing a commotion) and fit inside their lab building.While Sky wanted to do this the boy doubted that he could do this. Hearing this, Skys aunt told him that since he was very brave;Calvin was was really happy to train help train him to help make gain  more confident in himself.However, when the boy looked at his face he started to think that there must be  another trainer named Calvin;because Skys friend Calvin  looked very angry after his aunt mentioned the news.Before any of this  though,Skys Aunt showed him around the town. As he did this he started to see how weird this place was. For starters, there were rock paved streets but no car;huge buildings like the ones at home.Seeing how there weren't any cars, Sky figured that they had to walk to places.With how big the town is;he figured that had to stink.On the other hand,the buildings his would have been normal if there weren't creatures forests scattered around the town. In addition there was a small creek connected to the town's water fountain.Lastly there was  a tower and a  somewhat trashy football field at the very end of the town. “This was one weird town” he thought.Asking his aunt if they hated least had a lab; she said no and that they all individually conducted their experiments with whatever they could find. Hearing this Sky felt even more sorry for them.

Then Skys aunt took him on a tour of the house.Arriving at his room,Skey was beyond disgusted at what he saw,but did his best to act toplite.The walls were caved in and  the floor was caked up with mud . Termites ruled also. his floor and there was amuse hole in one corner. Like that wasn't enough, his bed was literally too hard rocks and he had nothing to cover up with.Like spider man,Skys aunt knew how he really felt about hisroom.

As he tossed and turned in bed. Waking up the next day Sky tried to avoid stepping on as many termites as he could.
That night as he tossed and turned in his bed the boy thought about the last few days and how he was being tasked to help turn his aunt and her friends back to human. Thinking about this he started to gain a little bit more determination  in himself.
