Chapter 7

The next day at 10 am  Calvin's friend  came to the house and told Sky that Lucas needed his help. At first the boy complained  that he didn't want to get up yet.but his aunt forced him to get up and go.Then he left the house and followed the man to his house. There the man told him  that everyday he would report here and he would give Sky a job to do.Today he was assigned to go to  Lucas' house and help him.Walking inside Lucas's house, he saw that it looked a little bit better than his aunts.

Meeting him, he then asked Lucas what he needed his help with. Inviting him inside his house, the man told the boy that he had a comedy show  next week and he needed help coming up with new jokes."Well this was a tough ask",Sky thought. While he enjoyed hearing  jokes; it Sky wasn't a  really a good joke teller.The only funny thing  about him was how much  of a clutz he was.  Just when he thought about turning down the offer, the boy remembered that he had his phone with him. The boy knew how he could  help him. After saying  yes , Sky looked on his phone for jokes, but  for some reason the internet wasn't working.Then the man told him that the internet did not work  in their  town. This meant Sky would  have to think of a joke himself. To aid him in the process the man said that he would look around  his area for ideas. As lame as it sounded to him, the boy  tried it. Scanning  the area  like a robot but couldn't think of anything. Then the man told him that sometimes the funniest jokes are made when you use your imagination rather than logic. Trying  this, the boy tried to look at the room from a new perspective and to his surprise he was able to come up with some pretty funny ones. Expanding from  the room the man told him to try making jokes about  all sorts of things. As he did he could  hear the man laugh hysterically at some of them and for some reason he wasn't writing any of them down.

Once the boy reminded him, the man did write some of his ideas down. While this made the man laugh  Sky was surprisingly having a great time  and could feel his creativity and confidence skill boost. Although, there was still  a lot of work to be done in order for him to achieve his goal.The next day, Sky was assigned to help Lucas pull pranks on  everyone.Now at first  Sky didn't want to do this but after Lucas pulled a prank on him; he realized how funny it was,and   decided to join in on the fun.The first prank they pulled was on Sky’s Aunt .Using mud they dug up from the Forest  from the forest ( after a rainy day)and putting it in   a cut bottle  from the creek they made him a cup of “Chocolate milk and offered it to him.As he drank it, ;the boy held back a laugh and after the man spit out and ran away, they started dying a\laughing.However Sky did feel a little bad and apologize to her afterwards.
Since Maddison was afraid of termites, they spent one day looking for one.As he looked, he asked Lucas why they didnt pull a prank on Calvin.Then Lucas told him that that guy hated being pranked.At first, they found nothing, Then he remembered the termites had in his room, he decided to grab some of them.  Taking a box with him, he walked into his room and scooped up some of the bugs and placed them in the.After sealing the box,they gave the box to Maddison.As they did this Sky again tried his best to not laugh,but that was so hard when he opened it and scream and ran at the site of the insects. For the next few days, the two boys continued pulling pranks on people, and as they did;Skys happiness started to grow.
