Happier than ever

Lizzie's POV.

It's been two weeks since we got back from London and our relationship is looking stronger than ever, I'm so happy that everything is going well between the two of us we've been through so much and it seems that at last fate is smiling on us.

My phone started ringing, I picked it up from the nightstand and answered the call.

"Hi lizard it's your mom."
"Hi mom" I said with a giggle.
"How are you dear?"
"I'm fine, how are you?"
"I'm fine too, listen daughter we are having a dinner tonight here at home and I would like you to come over, also bring your girlfriend I would like to meet her and your dad too."
"Sure, we'll be there mom"
"Great, I love you lizard"
"I love you too mom"

I am still amazed at how well my parents took it that I am dating a woman, I am more than happy with their reaction.

I hung up the call and went all the way to the gym at y/n's house where she was, I swear I still can't get used to how giant this house is.

"Hi love" I said walking into the gym as I watched my girlfriend do wall balls.
"Hi baby" She replies stopping her workout.
"So we have an invitation for tonight".
"To where?" she says smiling.
"To my parents house"
I could see the nerves in her look the moment I said that.
"Don't be nervous, they really want to get to know you."
"I can't help it, do you think they'll like me?"
"They will love you baby, you are amazing plus they love everything that makes me happy and you make me happy" I said giving her a quick kiss.
I could feel her body calm down with my touch.
"I love you you know that?" She says smiling at me.
"I love you more" I said giving her a small peck on her lips "now honey finish your exercise so we can have lunch together."
"Okay"

After we had lunch y/n/n and I decided to go for a swim, we played a water war I could feel my cheeks hurt from laughing so hard, after a while we were cuddling in the pool, when we are in the pool she acts like a baby she always wants me to carry her around while she gives me kisses all over my face making me laugh.

I can see my future with her, walking hand in hand in the backyard as we watch our dogs run, I can't wait to see that happen, she is simply what I want and need to be complete, I am beyond grateful to the universe for putting her in my path.

After a long afternoon at the pool, y/n and I went to get ready because it was almost time to go to my parents house, as always my girlfriend took longer than me to get ready she is a little diva in a good way of course.

After an hour and a half of her being totally convinced with her outfit she finally came out of the walking closet letting me see her. Wow she looks amazingly gorgeous as always.

Y/n's outfit.

I just can't take my eyes off her, I love her too much.

"How do I look?" She says nervously turning around so I can get a good look at her.
"You look very beautiful my love."
"I can say the same for you" she says giving me a peck on the lips.
"I can't believe you are all mine, I can't believe you chose me to be with you" I say as I get lost in her gaze.
"I would choose you a thousand and one times, I love you Lizzie" she gave me a sweet kiss.
"Are you ready to go to my parents house?"
She nodded and we started walking towards the front door of the house.

Y/n's POV.

Fuck my nerves are making my heart race and my palms sweat, what if Lizzie's parents don't like me? What if they don't think I'm good enough for her? God I have never been so nervous about meeting someone's parents I mean I want the parents of the love of my life to like me.

"Love stop overthinking, they will like you" Lizzie says taking my hand.
"Sorry my hands are sweaty."
"I don't care about that, you have nothing to worry about the twins adore you and I'm sure my parents will do the same."
"I really hope so" I said giving her a small smile.

The ride was quicker than I had anticipated because by the time I noticed my surroundings we were already parked in front of the Olsen mansion.

We were standing in front of the gate waiting for someone to open the door, Lizzie had my hand intertwined with hers, in my other hand I was holding a cake we had bought on the way up to the house.

"Oh my God y/n you're finally here" MK says hugging me "it's so nice to see you."
"Same here" I said hugging her back.
"We are so excited to see you again, you look gorgeous " Ashley says now hugging me.
"I'm glad to see you guys too" I said.
"Hey I'm your sister remember?" Lizzie says acting offended.
"Oh that's right" MK says hugging her.
"Sorry sis" Ashley says "come on in".

We walk down the hallway, I could admire the decorations in the house, I'm feeling a little less nervous but I still am.

"Mom the girls are here" Mk says as we walk into the kitchen.
"God my lizard is here, I missed you too much honey."
"Hi mom I missed you too, mom I want to introduce you to Y/n she's my girlfriend"
"It's nice to meet you dear" she says hugging me.
"The pleasure is mine Mrs. Olsen"
"Oh please call me Jarnett, I'm so happy that my daughter found someone like you, you two are so lucky"
"Believe me Lizzie is the best thing that ever happened to me I wouldn't know what to do without her."
"You are so sweet" Jarnett says.
"Oh by the way this is for you guys" I said extending the cake for her to take.

After my little interaction with Lizzie's mom I feel much more relaxed.

"Ashley told me our special guests have arrived" I hear a man say as he makes his way into the kitchen.
"Dad!" Lizzie says running into the man's arms.
"Oh look at you, you look beautiful daughter"
"Thank you dad, honey come" Lizzie says waving her hand for me to come over and I did.
"Dad she's my girlfriend y/n, baby he's my dad"
"It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Olsen" I said extending my hand.
"The pleasure is all mine and please call me David" he says taking my hand and pulling it into a hug.
"Why don't y/n, you and the twins help set the table while Lizzie and I finish putting the food on the plates" Jarnett says.
"Sounds like a plan" David replies.

While we were setting the table the four of us were talking the whole time and laughing about something David or MK would say, in fact they would also laugh at little jokes I would make making me feel right at home.

I could feel Lizzie's gaze from the kitchen watching our interaction, I felt too comfortable with her family and it made me miss mine a little.

Dinner was amazing, they told me stories of Lizzie when she was little of course she was embarrassed but I was delighted to hear the little stories, Lizzie was right as always I had nothing to worry about, they are so nice to me they even invited me on their next family vacation to which of course I accepted without a second thought.

I am happy to be welcomed into this beautiful family, nothing can be better than this.
