28 Memoir of Eevi

Fahim's mansion

Everyone has arrived and chatting with each other. Ibtisam, Rykarls wife is the attention of them all. First time meeting even after they had been happily married for almost 6 months now. She was a little chubby but her eyes were sparkling cutely, charming everyone who was speaking to her. At a glance, everyone must have been staring at her eyes first.

Ibtisam was innocent, cute and kind of introverted. Very different from Rykarl who's very extroverted. They were first addressing her as Tuanku Puteri but she resist not to call her by her title. Very humble indeed for a royal.

The food were served by the catering staff and as Elyna predicted, there was kambing golek. Elyna and Yaya, the pregnant mummies helped themselves with the kambing golek first before eyeing on the other food.

The kids Mika, Mateen, Marisha were playing with Fahim's kids inside the mansion. They were taken care by Fahim's helper. The adults could enjoy themselves at the garden party outside.

The seven buddies were chatting among themselves, laughing while bickering on whatever they were discussing about. Yasmin was taking care of Medina who was sleeping and chatting with Ibtisam, Fahim's wife and soon to be mummies.

Fahim noticing everyone was neglecting the food served. He once again reminds them to start eating before it gets cold.

After everyone seems to put their spoon down. Fahim stood up and tapped his glass with a teaspoon, asking for everyone's attention.

Fahim: Thank you everyone. I hope you enjoy the food. So harini saya ada announcement to make and a little surprise for all of us.

All eyes were on Fahim.

Fahim: So, alhamdulillah we will be designing a skyscrapper. It will be tallest building in the country and insyaallah the 3rd highest building in the world. Why is it third? Because if its the first, most likely planes could never fly over it.

Fahim laughed that followed by everyone else.

Fahim: Thank you Rykarl for your help. Every work is easier although you were no longer in the company. The most important part is we have the design already by Haziq. The name of the building which after lots of consideration I chose Memoir of Eevi.

Fahim focused on Yasmin and Haziq reaction. Yasmin and Haziq gasped. Never in their mind did Fahim name the magnificent skyscraper under the name of their late daughter Damia Eevi. Haziq knew about the project, and that's why he had been busy these days but he has no idea about the name of it. It was all decided solely by Fahim.

Yasmin who was holding her tears, raised her hand.

Yasmin: But why Abang Fahim? Kenapa nama Mia? Anak kami.

Fahim smiled sincerely.

Fahim: Sebab Damia Eevi is the essence of our circle, I mean the buddies happiness. I still remembered when Mia came to the office after her playschool ended. She brings laughter to everyone not only to both of you. To me, Noah, Marwan, Rykarl, Danish and Syahmi. Everyday we were waiting to play with Mia. Mia is our source if happiness. She leaves a scar in everyone's heart. Losing her is a great pain for us to Yasmin.

Yasmin bursted into tears, so do Haziq. Noah took a tissue and wiped her under eyes. Marwan lifted his head facing the sky. Rykarl held his wife's hand tight. Danish and Syahmi gripped each other shoulder, helding the tears.

Fahim: It's not the same anymore without Mia by our side. When Mia grew older, whenever I meet her. She would say that this office is like her second home. She said thank you to me for letting her playing around, feeding the fish at the aquarium. She said I should achieve my dream because I work so hard. And when I asked what her dream is, Mia said whatever her Papa had dreamed of. I know Haziq had long dream of designing a skyscrapper. And now Allah gave the chance to do so, so I'm realising both Haziq and Mia's dream.

Haziq clenched his fist. It's the first time he heard about that. Once again, her word touched him but greater. He missed her so much that he wished that he could hug her in this instant.
Fahim hugged Haziq tight.

Haziq: Thank you bang.

Haziq whispered in his ears.

Haziq and Yasmin were kind of lost at a bridge where they had never seen before. No one else were there, except for themselves. It was not creepy as the bridge was lighten brightly by an unknown source of light. As they were walking further, they found a door.

Mia in her favourite Elsa dress, came out of the door. She ran into Haziq's arm. Haziq hold her tight and carried her in his arms.

Haziq: I miss you so much Mia.. Mia anak Papa.

Mia didn't say anything but smiled. She turned to Yasmin. Haziq put her down. She hugged Yasmin tightly.

Yasmin: Mia.. Mama miss you so much. I really miss you.

Yasmin started crying, so did Haziq.

Mia wiped Yasmin and Haziq tears.

Mia: Mama Papa, I'm happy here. You must have been happy to with adik-adik. Mika, Mateen, Marisha and Medina. I saw them Mama Papa. One day we will be together. I've asked Allah everyday.

Haziq and Yasmin was suddenly awoken at the same time. Tears were still running on their cheeks.

Yasmin: Yas mimpi Mia bang..

Yasmin continued crying.

Haziq: Abang pun.. Mia datang jumpa kita.

Haziq pulled Yasmin into his arm. Patting her back.

Haziq: Anak kita happy kat sana sayang. She prayed to Allah everyday that we could be together again. Let us pray to. Jom kita solat tahajud jap sementara belum subuh ni.

Haziq whispered in her ears while calming her down.

Haziq led the prayer, followed by Yasmin. Haziq prayed earnestly. Stating his gratefulness towards the Almighty who had given them unlimited rizq and meeting them with Mia tonight. They prayed that Allah could lessen their pain and make them live happily with Mia again in the hereafter. Yasmin recited Amin at every phrases of prayer he recited.
