Chapter Six - Escape Plan

Ortega hugged Rachel pulling her close to him whispered in her ears
"Regardless of everything I did for you you hurt me remember that all this is not over I will come back for you if I can't have you no one will I just pity you cause you don't know anything about Andy
He pulled away from Rachel then hugged Andy
"Remember I will be back
After all the hugging they bid themselves good bye and left.

"I have to go now
" Okay but wait, she held his hand , how come you never told me you had Asthma I thought we said no secrets and lies?
"Where is all this coming from? Am not keeping anything from you am sorry I just didn't want to burden you
" you are not a burden to me Andy so please tell me anything okay, well lucky for Jennifer and Ortega at least they won't have to be locked up in this prison if only the world knew about the human trafficking and illegal works going on here I wish to be adopted to and leave this orphanage
" wait I tell you your dream would come through, that's why we are running trying to escape remember together forever, 7:00 PM don't forget.

Rachel stood close to the window as she stared outside shivering in fear wandering what was happening outside due to the screams and gunshots everywhere must be in terror by now she thought to herself. She hid herself in a wardrobe when she heard footsteps the door opened and she peeped through seeing it was Andy and him calling her name out she came out and hugged him.

"Rachel are you okay
" not really but yes, she said worriedly, are you okay and what's happening?
"I am fine, I can't really explain everything cause of time but there is a fire outbreak guns and blood everywhere I think Monica has something to do with this I think she owes some bad people money
" what are we to do then?
"Leave it to me there is a secret place I mean door through Monica's office we would pass without being seen let's go, he grabbed her hand but she pulled it off
"What about others? They are being hurt or maybe worst killed we should help them
" No we should care about our self let's go
" how can you say that?

Minutes Before the Attack
Rachel POV

I was at the kitchen when the attack started I was worried about Andy cause he told me to wait in his room and the last time I remember he says he would be at Monica's office trying to get our files, I ran with fear not looking back trying to avoid getting shot I entered Monica's office and locked the door and I switch on the light I screamed in fear and shock when I saw Monica lying on the floor and bleeding from her leg and abdomen .

I took a hand towel on the table bent down and put a little pressure on her abdomen wound to stop the bleeding but it was useless the blood kept on pouring out
" who did this to you? I asked
" who d o o do u u you .. think, she answer stuttering in a weak shaky voice smiling devilishly at me
" what do you me, I asked despite having a deep feeling that it might be Andy I shored the thought out of my head as I wander how can she smile in a situation like this
"If only you know who he is he also ruin everyone at the end run while you can
After saying that she laughed and breathe her last breath.

Present

" no we should care about only our self let's go
" how can you say that is what they say about you true?
" what do you mean? Andy ask
"Everyone keeps telling me to stay away from You that you are bad that I don't really know you are you hiding something from me?
" Rachel no, how could you even say that or listen to them, he stared at her in shock not believing what she said
" that's not what I asked Andy, did you do this did you kill Monica did you really do this all this innocent life what exactly are you lying and hiding from me? Rachel asked in a demanding tone as she stares at Monica's limp body lying lifelessly
"Rachel of cause not I would never can't you see they are all trying to get to us and tear us apart, raising his voice at her Andy held her and shook her repeatedly with his eyes widen in anger
" stop you are scaring me, she pushed him
" can't you see we are fighting? Okay wait, he calmed himself and looked down saying, I have killed people
" you what? Gasping
" look you know what we do here I was scared I was ordered to I wanted to live but i never killed Monica I never caused this incident I swear
" I know, she cried out, but that doesn't change the fact that you killed people
"Am sorry please forgive me, he cried out hugging her, please I did it for us okay
" okay
" I have one million Naira in this bag, he notified her, it contains money our certificates and some clothes and food with water
" How did you get that amount of money?
" I obviously stole it Rachel, he stared at her looking frustrated by her questions , can we stop all this babe please trust me
" Am sorry, she hugged him
" it's okay let's go

They both ran immediately they hared a bang on the door someone was forcefully trying to opened the door, he held her hands and ran through the secret door after minutes of running, they found a car and drove it.
" I never knew you could drive, there are a lot of things I don't know about you, she said sadly
" don't be sad okay in time you will know and we will get through this together

They turned on the radio the channel reported about the incident that happened at the orphanage and the illegal works but sadly no body survived but it's like some escaped, Rachel was sad that most people died but also happy that they were free and her wish of the world knowing all the evil that goes on that orphanage came to light.While Andy was driving due to their discussion they didn't notice some black cars were after them ,in shock as they fired gunshots at their car, Andy tried speeding up suddenly they hit a tree with force and hared bang Rachel was scared but luckily when she stared at Andy he was okay they but quickly ran out with the bag as fast as they could with the men chasing them panting and gasping for air finally after running through the bushy area they found a main road but it was quiet cause it was already 11:00 at night, they entered an abandoned clinic and hid at the toilet panting hard they kissed passionately and hugged each other , finding peace and rest they fell asleep.
