Brer Fox was passing by when he saw Patty sticking rocks onto a wooden picture frame.

"Like hi, Brer Fox! Look what I'm making for Burt" said Patty.

"A pictchur frame... dec'rated wit rocks..." said Brer Fox dismayed.

"You don't think Burt'll like it?" said Patty.

"Listen. Diss iz b'tween you an' Brer Burt. So f'you wants ter give 'im dat cheap tchotchke, go ahead" said Brer Fox.

"Hmm. You are really good at giving presents. I mean, that waxing kit you got me is amazing" said Patty. 

"Amazin' an' needed. Yo' neck hairs grow back too fast" said Brer Fox.

"Thanks. Now what should I give to Burt?" said Patty.

"Try tinkin' mo' pers'nal. Ask yo'self what makes Brer Burt Brer Burt" said Brer Fox.

"Well, he loves being Robin" said Patty.

"Dat's it! You should get 'im a robin!" said Brer Fox. 

"You really think Burt wants a live bird?" said Patty uneasily.

"Cert'nly mo' den a ded wun. And dare's tuns o' robins flyin' neah de Briar Patch. Just catch it an' slap a cape on it" said Brer Fox.

"I hope you're right. I really want Burt to like it" said Patty.

"He will, he will. Wen has I evah bin wrong 'bout a present?" said Brer Fox.

"Hmm, what about the time you got Brer Rabbit another tar baby? He just kept spreading the tar all over you" said Patty.

"But he luv'd it. An' cum ter think of it, he mightta bin smilin' cuz revenge iz sweet" said Brer Fox.
