"Sorry..we forget your birthday"

Today was the day I officially turned eighteen! I'm finally the same age as everyone else..that is until a month when Randy turns nineteen , which completely sucks because he thinks he's the boss of all of us since he's older , but it's funny watching Billy put him in his place.

I can't wait to spend the whole day with my friends and my sweet boyfriend Billy.

I smiled as I spotted Tatum and Sidney by their lockers, I walked over to them, "Hey tat, hi sid," I happily greeted

"Hey, stu," Tatum greeted back, "hi stu, " Sidney gave me a small smile , I kinda waited for them to say happy birthday, but it never came.

Maybe they'll say it later, "So uh, what are you two free later?" I asked,

Sidney gave me an apologetic smile, "Sorry, stu, Tatum, and I have a date after school," she said,

"Oh, well, I hope you both have a very great date. Where are you guys going?" I asked, feeling a bit upset, but it doesn't matter,

Sidney and Tatum don't have to hang out with me just because it's my birthday. They have their own life's.

"Hm.. probably to the mall before heading to our favorite diner," Tatum replied with a smile

"Aw! That's so sweet," I told them, as I spotted Billy and Randy walking over, arguing about something. It was a usual thing for the two.

"Hi guys!" I greeted, Why are you so chirpy this morning?" Randy asked, with a slight raised eyebrow ,

"Uh.. no reason. I can't be happy seeing my friends?" I said, my eyes darting between Billy and Randy. Billy was glaring at Randy like he wanted to kill him,

"So uh..what's up with you and Billy?" I questioned, Titling my head a bit

Randy let out an annoyed sigh, and I can't help but feel a little ache in my heart,

"Uh..actually, I don't wanna know, I um... have to get to class before the bell rings," I quickly said, leaning down and pressing a quick kiss on Billy's cheek before walking away ,

They forgot my birthday, even Billy, and that hurt more than the other's forgetting.

I turned the corner, and I almost bumped into Casey and steve , "Oh, sorry," I mumbled ,

"Hey, what's wrong?" Casey asked in a sweet voice , and I shrugged ,"Nothing,"

"Well, cheer up, dude, it's your birthday," steve said, patting my shoulder,

At least Casey and steve remember, but it doesn't make me feel any better , "Oh, they forget, didn't they?" Casey asked,

"I- it doesn't matter. They have way more important things to worry about than me turning eighteen." I quickly said 

"But you only turn eighteen once," Casey said, and I shrugged ,"I'll have many more birthdays, "

"Hey, what are you doing later after school?" Steve asked, "I was just going to watch a movie and drown myself in ice cream,"I told him,

"Well, why don't you hang out with me and Casey? We can get ice cream, maybe a couple of beers? " Steve suggested, and I thought about it,

I really didn't want to be alone right now , I never liked being alone, especially in my birthday.

I nodded ,"Yeah, sure, why not," I said, and they smiled, "Great!"

The rest of the day was okay. Billy was pretty pissed all day and didn't really talk much, but he was glued to his side all day, but he never said happy birthday.
