"- it has been three weeks since the disappearance of Stuart "stu" macher. He was last seen at the field near More Street. he was last seen wearing blue overalls, with a red sleeve shirt, with red sneakers, and a baseball hat. If you have any information regarding -" The TV was shut off and Billy turned around facing his mother

"Turn it back on!" He stood up from the couch, reaching for the remote, but Nancy loomis held it high

"Enough Billy! You watch the news every day since stu disappeared!you've been coming home very late! I had enough Billy!" Nancy said

"I only come home late because I'm looking for stu! It's not like any of the adults are doing it! They gave up on him! Just like you! It isn't fair! He doesn't deserve being given up on! " Billy yelled before grabbing his jacket and rushing out of the house, running towards his bike that was lying on the grass

"Billy! Where are you going!?" Nancy yelled, running out of the house as fast as she could with heels

"I'm going to find him!" Billy told her as he paddled away."Billy! Billy! Come back!"

Billy ignored his mother as he rode his bike towards Randy's house.

Tatum riley burst into her older brother dwight. "dewey " riley room , "Hey doofus! Wake up!" She yelled, shaking him

Dewey woke up startled rolling off the bed , and Tatum put her hands on her hips, staring down at him

"Get up, you have to go to work and find stu," she told him, dewey sigh, rubbing his eyes and sitting up

"You know tatum... after a while, when someone goes missing, it's most likely that we won't be able to find them ," dewey told her

"Don't say that! We're going to find stu!and if you won't do it then I will! " Tatum yelled at him before rushing out of his room."tatum!"

Dewey let out a small groan as he heard a door slam shut ,"crap,"

Randy meeks grabbed and filled his backpack with lights, water, food, and other stood

"What are you doing?" Mrs. Meeks questioned, walking into Randy's room ,"me and the others are going to find stu and bring him home, don't wait up for me mom, I won't be home, I might stay at Billy's or..or at our secret tree house, later mom!" Randy said quickly, walking out of the house

"Wait, Randy!" Randy got on his bike, rushing away from his house, meeting up with Billy, who rode his bike next to him

"You got the stuff?" Billy asked, and Randy nodded,"Yep,"

"Good, let's get the girls and start searching," Billy said, and Randy nodded

Sidney stapled another missing paper into the post. She sighs ,"You'll be back home in no time," she whispered

"Sidney!" Sidney turned around and saw Casey and Steve walking over ,"Oh hi," she gave them a small smile

"What are you doing?" Casey questioned, "putting up flyers," Sidney replied

"For stu? Isn't he dead?" Steve said, grabbing a flyer , Sidney glared at him

"He isn't dead! He's just missing and waiting for someone to find him and bring him home! " Sidney said

Steve scoffed ,"he's been missing for three weeks, I overheard a few police officers talking on my way back home yesterday, that after a while when someone goes missing, they're usually dead , and it worse for kids, so stu is probably dead, somewhere in the woods getting eaten by insects and bugs," steve told her

Tears gather in Sidneys eyes ,"steve! Shut up!" Casey shouted, hitting Steve on his arm

"He's not dead! He's just not!" Sidney told him as Billy and Randy skidded to a stop , Billy sent a glare towards steve

"You okay, sid?" Randy asked ," steve keeps saying that stu is dead somewhere in the woods, but he's not, he's still alive, I know it, I can feel it!"

"Wait.. the woods! It's the only place we haven't searched for stu in! " Randy said, looking at the group

"There's a few different woods. Which one should we search?" Casey questioned

"We?" Steve asked, and Casey sent him a glare ,"Shut up, you're helping , don't you remember that time you fell off your bike and scratched your knees? Who was the one that gave you looney tones themed bandaids? Huh?" Casey said, crossing her arms

Steve sighs ,"it was stu," he mumbled ,"Extacly you're helping! And that's final!"

"So which woods are we searching?" Steve questioned

"The one behind the park," Tatum said, startling most of her friends ,"it's close to the field we were playing that day, it's close to stu's house , I've been thinking about it, what if he stopped there before going home? " Tatum told them

"Why would he go into the woods? He knows he shouldn't. He knows it's dangerous," Billy said

"Well, isn't that what we're going to find out? " She told them ,

"Come on, everyone, move your butts! We have a friend to find!" Tatum told them

All of them made their way to the park, to where the woods were to find stu , unknowing of the events that would follow , it would forever change their lives
