*Jang-mi's pov*
"Are you going out today?" My dad asked while placing breakfast on the table.
"Yeah, Chan said he needed to talk to me, so I'm just heading over to his house." I smiled while scooping some food onto my plate.
"How come hyung can't come over here?" Seo-jun poured juice into our cups.
"Because your butt stinks."
"I'll have you know, girls love my butt."
"What girls?" I scoffed.
"Please, dear sister, I pulled so many girls in high school."
"All you're pulling now is stink."
My dad burst out laughing before lifting his hand and giving me a high-five.
"At least I'm pulling something." Seo-jun rolled his eyes.
"That's enough." My dad said, still trying to gather himself. "What are your plans for today?"
"I have training today." Seo-jun plays men's college volleyball. He's a right side hitter. He tried out for volleyball as a way to impress a few girls in middle school and ended up falling in love with the sport, not the girl. Now, he has a full ride to our community college down the block. "Season starts soon, so training is every week now."
"Make sure you're listening to your coach. No back talking." My dad said. "And watch your approach. You always get too close to the net."
My dad also played volleyball in high school, except the difference between him and Seo-jun was that he fell in love with the sport and the girl.
My mom wasn't into sports. She was the book smart type. The girl with the highest grades in school and also their class rep. My dad needed tutoring in order to stay on the team, and that's how he met my mom. Every time my mom would tell their story, she'd always end it with "I used to do everything by the book. That was until I met him, and he didn't read books."
That story never got old.
When my mom got sick, my dad would sit next to her in bed and read some of her favorite stories. Even then, my mom would still comment on how terrible of a reader my dad was. I miss her.

"Finally, you're here!" Chan said, placing his extra house slippers in front of me.
"Sorry, I got into an argument with Seo-jun today." I took off my shoes and set them to the side before sliding his slippers on.
"What was it this time?"
"He clogged the toilet in the downstairs bathroom and just left it!"
"Gross."
"That's what I was saying!" I sighed before sitting down on the couch. "So, what's up?"
"Hold up. Jang-mi's here!" He yelled up the stairs.
Heavy footsteps came rushing down the steps. It was Vernon and Seungkwan.
"You're going!?" They both said in unison.
"Going where?" I asked.
"Going Seventeen," Seungkwan said sarcastically. "What do you mean going where?"
"I haven't asked her yet." Dino said before walking over and sitting next to me.
"Lame." Vernon said as they both joined us.
"Well, what's taking you so long? It's not like you're asking her to marry you." Seungkwan rolled his eyes.
"She literally just walked into the house!"
