"We're here!" Dino says as he pulls into a parking spot and puts the car in park.

"Where are we?" Jang-mi sits up in her seat and looks around.

"You'll see," he smiles and takes off his seatbelt. "But we have to hurry, or we might miss it!"

"Miss wha- nevermind." She unbuckles her seatbelt and gets out of the car.

Dino steps onto the curb and holds out his hand. She looks back and forth between him and his hand before grabbing it.

He flinches. "Are you cold!?"

"No, well, yeah, but it's okay, I'm just-" he pulls off his jacket and swings it around her arms. She pushes her hands through the sleeves. He then zips it up and pulls her hood over.

"Lucky for you, I have a sweater on!" He smiles and pulls his hood over his head. He grabs her arm that's closest to him and pulls her sleeve up, barely above her wrist before taking her hand in his. He begins to walk, but suddenly gets yanked back. He turns to look at her. "What's wrong?"

"Can you please just tell me where we're going?"

"And ruin the surprise?"

"I'd just feel more at ease if you-"

He cups her face into his hands. She avoids eye contact. "Please look at me." He says softly. She looks into his eyes. He pauses for a moment just to let her stare into them, reassuring her that he's being serious. "When you're with me, I'll never give you a reason to make you worry. You don't ever have to feel on edge with me. I'm not going anywhere."
All she could do was nod. He grabs out two masks and gives her one. "I don't know how many people come out for these, but just in case."

They quickly put on the face masks. He waits for her to finish putting hers on. After sliding it over her face, she reaches down and grabs his hand and they begin walking.

"So, I take it we're not going to be joined by the others at all?"

"Nope." Dino says with a little skip.

"Was this the plan all along?"

"Nope."

"Is this a prank and I'm going to randomly get jumpscared?" She looks around for anything that seemed a little suspicious.

"Nope- and why would I do that?"

"I don't know. Payback for all the times I chose not to help you when you were getting bullied by the guys?"

"No, that's next week."

"What!?"

"I'm joking." He sighed. "I wouldn't do that to you."

"Mhm." She playfully rolled her eyes. They continued to walk passed multiple couples standing together and looking at their phones. "How could they be so immersed in their phones when they're together?" She thought to herself. She looked up at Dino who was checking the time. "Really, Chan?"

"We're here!" He turned to face a pit of nothing but darkness.

"Eh?"

"Just wait!" He looked at his phone again.

Jang-mi tucked in her lips, waiting for a clown to suddenly get up from the ground and start chasing after her. Chills went down her spine as the thought crossed her mind.

"Did your clown not show up on time?"

"Shh!"

"Why are we-"

"Look!"

Suddenly, the pit of darkness lit up, with a full garden of white light up roses scattered all across the whole field. Dino watched as Jang-mi's face lit up as each rose shined brightly in front of her.
