"Noee...you better say what the hell you are doing....?"
'A...dog? no...wolf, but why..?'
Noe cleared his throat while the two of us stared at him. Vani looked kinda upset at the blonde.
"If you will let me explain, I will." Noe glanced at Vanitas, then at me.
"After a few past events, I thought that this would be helpful. This..wolf. Dose not have a name, he takes any name his master gives him."
"OOkay... but why?? why him?" Vani was still trying to understand.
"This wolf is actually a werewolf. He does have a human form, but for certain reasons, he will remain a large dog. He will be ____'s bodyguard when we are not able to be there. The werewolf is quite strong I'm certain."
When Noe said we, he meant himself...mostly. He wasn't going to let Vani swoop ___ away so easily. "Waait wait wait wait! Before this is final, you should ask ____ if that's alright with her. It only seems fair." Vani looked at me.
"...." I took a moment to think. The wolf sat down on the ground. He didn't even pant like a dog, he had total obedience for Noe. It looked at me with calm, friendliness in his golden eyes.
"...I mean...like I can try.., I'm not used to having...dogs near me. Sorry...not dog, more like he is a wolf."
Noe lightly smile, while Vani leaned bad sighing heavily. His so-called friend just had to do it, bring a giant wolf into the room, when there was already a cat.
Noe motioned to the wolf to move forward, telling him it was okay to get closer to me. M stomach dropped as the large animal stood at my feet. He looked like he was almost bowing his head to me.
'OOh...boy...this may take a while..Noe you dummy can't you tell she is afraid of such large meat-eating animals.' Vani was prepared to stand up to help if he had to.
"I think you should pet him...at least once," Noe spoke softly. "He needs to get used to your scent to be able to do his job better," Noe adds.
"...alright..." I hesitantly reached my hand out, touching the wolf's head. I was shocked to find how plush, a velvet soft his midnight black coat was.
The wolf lightly let out a little happy bark. "I think you should give him a name too now... so you can form a little contact with him for the time being."
".....okay..I will name you...Ash."
"Hmm not bad," Vani stated.
I pulled my hand back, suddenly hearing the wolf's voice. "Thank you lady ___, for my name," I swore I could see his golden eyes glittering with joy.
"Hey Vani."
"Y-yes?" He looked at me. "Where you able to get me my own room?"
"Ah oh yes, I have."
"Take me there please."
"Very well." Vanitas hopped off the bed, he escorted me to my room. Ash followed behind, as Noe watched me walk out with what little things I owned. He could sense how tired, and cold I still was from the event.
'...don't go....' Noe thought in the back of his mind.
"Ah here you go, welcome to your new room. It's down the hall from us."
I smiled. I had my own space, it was less cramped now. Even Ash would have more room.
"Are you sure you will be alright with this?" Vanitas asked, his deep blue eyes looking at me with kindness. He just had to make sure.
"I'm..sure Vanitas." I walked up to him and put my arms over his back. I dug my face into his shoulder. "Thank you...., you do know don't you?" I whispered. Vanitas stood there strong. He lightly hugged back.
"Know what?" He breathed.
"That Noe... sometimes frightens me still....." He put a hand on my head. "Yes, I know...but I don't think he would ever want to hurt you. Plus you got me, I will bring him hell if he ever dares to hurt you." Vanitas' words hit me harder than I thought. He meant it.
"This will let me rest more peacefully till."
"Exactly. Now if you shall ever need anything just ask, or I guess you could send him to find me." Vanitas and I looked at Ash.
I backed up from Vani a bit. "Okay.., I guess I will see you later?"
"Yup!, stay beautiful.!" I rolled my eyes at Vanitas' teasing manner.
I went to sleep a couple of hours later. Tomorrow I would try to do more. "...I guess you can just sleep at the foot of my bed..." I spoke to the wolf. He nods his head, as he lays down. I slowly reach my hand out to touch his fur lightly. He doesn't move.
"....s-so soft...Noe...why.." I still didn't understand why he did this for me, finding me a bodyguard.
